Leonard Leo and Susan Collins-sponsored disinfo outlet somehow managed to convince @propublica's @WilliamTurton to go on their podcast -- presumably to take potshots at his bombshell report -- but not sure it went as they hoped? Worth watching the exchange starting at 14:22.
The Pro Publica story looks at a serial con artist and convicted fraudster who tried to bribe his way to more government contracts.
But does the evidence implicate Sen. Susan Collins or her staff?
The FEC, DOJ, and the FBI said no.
Pro Publica says yes.
We interviewed the reporter behind the story to ask about his process for vetting the claims of a pathological liar and anonymous/disgruntled FBI agents.

Six years ago Susan Collins attacked another scathing @propublica report (tinyurl.com/5n7awysw) by saying the outlet was biased since Soros/ Sussman were donors.
They accounted for 0.13% of the news organization's revenue.
