As we sprint to Election Day, we're hosting town halls throughout the suburbs.
Frustrated with both political parties? Considering maybe even not voting? There's a mainstream Independent you can vote FOR this election, and I'd love to meet you!
Unlike the two major party candidates’ events, these town halls are open to the general public. And, unlike my opponents, I don’t need a favorable moderator or pre-screened questions.
Carolyn and I will be taking questions directly from the audience and sharing our common sense plans to lower costs for working families and raise everyone’s wages.
Join us at a location near you!

I am wildly impressed by the Editorial Board for declining to endorse @GovPritzker.
They accurately point out how Pritzker was faced with the challenge of doing the right thing or doing the easy thing regarding the pension sweetener. He failed that challenge and now we will be paying for his cowardice for the rest of our lives, far after he is out of office.
The Editorial Board not endorsing Pritzker is a tacit admission that he is not fit to lead.
I will vote for @CollinCorbett.
From the Editorial Board: In our opinion, Gov. JB Pritzker is a fundamentally decent, moderate, perspicacious leader with the potential, even in this pending third term when voter fatigue typically sets in, to be a transformative governor of Illinois. chicagotribune.com/2026/10/1…
This is how we've run this campaign: one table, one living room, one conference room at a time.
Sure, partisan rallies full of people already supporting you make you feel good. But they don't earn you new votes.
I'll take real conversations with undecided voters every time. – at Plainfield, IL
The partisan responses to Matthew McConaughey's video are predictable: "Not this election, the stakes are too high!"
Well, then when?
Name an election that wasn't "the most important election of our lifetime." Every cycle, we're told we're "one vote away from socialism/fascism."
If our system is really that fragile, then it's time we did something about THAT.
That's precisely why now is exactly the right time to build an Independent majority in Illinois.
Sound off in the replies. Agree? Disagree? Tell me WHY.

Family Guy recently made a Civil War version of "Who's on First" that had me crying laughing. It had no business being that good.
If you're in or near Will County, I look forward to seeing you tonight at the next stop of our town hall tour!
No moderator, no question screening, no script...Carolyn and I will answer your questions directly. Because you should be able to question your leaders.
Speaking of which, JB Pritzker has NEVER held a town hall. I wonder why... 🤔
“They’ve been telling us for years that an independent vote is a wasted vote. Well...how's that unwasted vote been working out for you?"
"A true independent is not a fence-sitter....A true Independent is not even against the R's or the D's. A true Independent takes the best of both."
He then goes on to describe the same strategy in Congress that we're pursuing in Illinois. We can change our politics in Illinois with just 10-15% of the vote. We don't need to be the majority when we're the majority-maker. Both parties will finally have to compete for the middle. They'll have to write common sense laws and run mainstream candidates.
"Not a third party to replace the other two. A permanent check to keep them both honest. America's brand was never R or D. It's Independent."

Right there is the unseen benefit of running for office - the beneficial human connections and discussions that you can have that give people hope. And different candidates offer different things to different people. As it should be in a diverse society like ours
My favorite story from today's town hall. A Gurnee resident watched last week's gubernatorial forum and thought to himself, "this can't be the best we can do." So he searched online and found our campaign, came to our town hall, and said we have his vote. 🔥
Why is Illinois' economy stuck in the mud? Here's an example that went mostly unnoticed.
Washington helped manufacturers by allowing them to depreciate new equipment faster, encouraging investment and growth. (They would still pay the full taxable amount, this was more a tax deferral than a tax cut.)
But JB Pritzker and Springfield want "their" money and they want it now. So they decoupled from the federal tax code.
Making our manufacturers continue to compete with one arm tied behind their backs against manufacturers in pro-growth states.

"Third-party candidate for governor, Collin Corbett ... comes across as smart, articulate" and "not beholden to any political party or special interest lobbies, Len Korn of Crystal Lake writes in a letter to the editor.
What an incredible organization. Reclaim13 helps victims of child sexual abuse and exploitation heal in an environment where they are safe and loved.
An organization like this shouldn't be needed. But it is, and we are grateful for them.

How am I the only candidate for Illinois Governor talking about fully funding our schools?
Under JB Pritzker, the state provides just 24.5% of the funding for local school districts. It was 27% when he took over. The national average is 45%.
Not only does this shortfall hurt our kids' education, but it's also the primary driver of high property taxes.
I joined @ndblumberg on @wttw Chicago PBS to talk about how we fix this.
