Thirty years ago today, Sept. 26, 1996, @SteveRivera95 wrote a story in the Tucson Citizen about @CollegeCorey Williams mulling his pro options in the CBA or Australia after finishing his Arizona career. Rivera asked Williams about the team returning in 1996-97: "It's hard to say right now because with the exception of Michael (Dickerson) and Miles (Simon), they have no players with experience. They have to work on their leadership and get organized ... But the team should be good because of Michael and Miles. Bennett (Davison) is going to be an outstanding player in his years here. AJ (Bramlett) will step it up. And their backcourt with Jason Terry, Mike Bibby and the others will give some people trouble." Arizona went on to win the national title (that team will be honored today at the Red-Blue Game at McKale) and Williams has become a longstanding college hoops analyst on TV.
