Boys seem to nearly universally - usually in their early teenage years - experience something that breaks their hearts in such a specific way as to emotionally cauterize them.

Germany deserved everything that happened to it in WWII. They gassed people to death then put them in fucking ovens and burned them. They murdered millions upon millions of people in the Soviet Union, and killed even more in the UK, France, Poland, Netherlands, and every other country they took over. If they had reached sub saharan africa they would have committed yet more genocide and slavery. They were mad dogs that had to be put down.
