"It tells you something about Marcus Freeman. Men who know exactly what NFL preparation looks like, they're handing him the keys to their sons."

Public service announcement:
No one gets to tell you what a game means. That’s up to you, the fan, to decide.
I don’t like the 24-team CFP, but the idea crowds at Tennessee, Purdue and Michigan (vs. Ohio St!) would suddenly be apathetic is absurd. Same for losers.

Marcus Freeman was asked to comment on the passing of Don Shuler today. Worth reading his full quote.
"Big Don was a terrific man, father, husband. I really got to know him through recruiting. We developed a really good relationship.
"When we found out the news that his health was declining, I had to be what Adon needed me to be. And I've always said that, like, my job as the head coach is you gotta be what your players need you to be. That could be different in moment, and there were parts of it that were emotional early. And then when he was home, what could I be for him? What did he need from me? And now that he's back, it could change every single day.
"But he is such a strong young man, and his focus wasn't on himself. It was on making sure he's there for his mom and his brothers. And that tells you who Adon Shuler is. He doesn't think about himself. He thinks about others. Playing in this game wasn't ever in question. He made that known from the moment his father passed away.
"I think each human goes through different stages of mourning, and we'll see the stages that Adon goes through, but it's our job to be here to support him in whatever stages that is. But there's no question in my mind that he'll play well on Saturday, and as we continue to move forward."
Adon Shuler is playing Sunday. His dad would be mad if he didn't.
Just 48 hours after announcing the loss of his father, Shuler rejoined his team feeling inspired by the life he lived.
"Blessed to have the 20 years of my life with my dad."
