Mental is struggling rn, stress is at an all time high, EUI feature requests are pouring in at an unfathomable rate (avg 1000+ per month), then tonight I find out someone yelled at an EUI support team member cuz they felt their feature request wasn’t being prioritized enough. I REALLY need people to get some perspective here or I will lose it lol. Bringing any kind of entitlement attitude to a FREE WoW addon is absolute insanity. EllesmereUI has no paywalls, no sponsors, no website ads, no partnerships, and no funding beyond one time donations. CurseForge payouts barely reach $200 a month LOL. I’ve poured every waking moment of mine into this project for 9 months, to the point where I barely have time to stream anymore, which is literally supposed to be my job. Many support team members have taken days off of work just to help with support during intense times. So when someone comes in feeling entitled to a feature they want (usually something super niche that they try to say everyone needs) and gets pissed at a support team member over it, it’s incredibly fucked. EUI will always remain completely free and unpaywalled, but in return I need patience and understanding for both myself and my support staff. With thousands of requests and reports coming in every month, some things are inevitably going to get missed, and many feature requests won’t be implemented. That’s just the reality of maintaining a project of this size with the time and resources available. Finally, just remember that every single person helping with support is a volunteer giving up their own free time to help this community. They don’t get paid, they don’t owe anyone anything, and they absolutely do not deserve to be yelled at because someone’s feature request hasn’t been addressed. It’s honestly ridiculous that this even needs to be said. TLDR: Don’t ever yell at EUI staff members, and don’t act entitled over a FREE WoW addon. Just basic human decency please, be kind

Another huge update for EllesmereUI today! Major updates/features include: - New WoW Forever UI Style added (see images) - PapaPixels customization collab: 130+ new settings across every module for borders, separators and textures, plus new Pixels textures, portrait rings, fonts and class/role art - Party target frames and pet frames, with their own size, position and colors - Controller support: bags, the options window, popups and menus all work with a controller addon or WoW's gamepad mode - Upgrades to Forever Threat Meter - Plus ~20 more new features and 50+ bug fixes. Announcing EllesmereUI Blizzard Styled Modules Live with next patch on both Retail and Forever, EllesmereUI can now have every major module visually styled like default Blizzard UI but with full EllesmereUI customizability/functionality. For new players, this popup (first image) will show after your first install. You can later change this setting per module in the global settings -> style tab. Also, EllesmereUI Forever launches today!! Patch either around 12:30pm EST or 8pm EST depending on how internal testing goes while I sleep😴
