I did French GCSE & remember these! I always wondered why the only place that ever seemed to be mentioned was La Rochelle! 😄
The Tricolore textbooks did not prepare us for all this shit going off in France. The most exciting thing that ever happened in La Rochelle was Annette falling off her bike or Philippe enjoying a particularly tense game of le badminton down l'auberge de jeunesse.

Some songs don't just take you back to the 1980s. They take you back to being a kid, when your imagination had no limits and anything seemed possible. Tell me this doesn't give you chills.

More NHS staff sacked over attacks victims' records. The issues will become worse. The Health Bill 2026 establishes a Single Patient Record. What you tell your GP in confidence will become known to others. Hardly any effective safeguards in the Bill. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cmd7…

A gang of three cats was caught on security camera carrying out what appeared to be a coordinated cat food heist. Two cats worked together to open a kitchen cabinet, while the orange cat appeared to be standing guard, keeping an eye out for Mom. 🤣

JUST IN: The man who stopped the school shooting in Bend, Oregon, has been identified as 36-year-old Kalub Giamanco. Giamanco, a carpenter, was reportedly driving home for lunch when he heard gunshots. After hearing the gunshots, Giamanco, who has a concealed carry permit, followed the suspect into the school. He then shot and killed 16-year-old John J Griffin moments after the teen opened fire into a special education classroom. Giamanco, who has two children of his own who attend the school, is family friends with one of the victims, a 7-year-old who uses a wheelchair and was shot in the face. The 7-year-old survived and is in the hospital. Three children at Silver Rail Elementary School were killed. Their ages are 5, 8, and 11. According to Giamanco's brother, Giamanco doesn't feel like a hero because he feels guilty for not being able to save more children. You are a hero, Kalub.
