It is possible to put out electric vehicle battery fires with a small amount of water in a short time. By flooding pack with water we prevent unburned cells to catch fire. Risk analysis before tests showed that it can be done in a safe manner.

This weekend we updated our training on using Cold Cut Cobra a very useful bit of kit. If you want to know about it just ask! We also drilled on BA set removal during a simulated persons reported rescue. No pictures of that one as was very dark and smoke filled !
