Stopped by @MACGirlsHoopsMI open workouts tonight and three girls really stood out during the session. @ColbieCombs was on fire from three. She went on a streak where she sank 7 of 9 from three-point distance in the games from different spots. That's efficiency at its finest. She moves to open space, catches passed with her feet set, shoulders squared up to the rim, and releases the ball quickly from a loaded stance. She has good instincts, understands spacing, and finishes with good touch around the basket. @brpotestio communicates actively on the court whether she's on offense or defense. She makes it clear where she is on the floor and gives verbal cues so they know where/when to pass her the ball. Braelyn has very crafty footwork in the paint, can shoot the three, passes where teammates are going, changes her delivery based on where the defense is, is an active offensive rebounder, scored with a good finishing touch with her right and left hand, anticipates where the d is to makes quick passes on the fly, has active hands in passing lanes, and good spatial awareness. @blakeelling23 knocks down the open three and started to take over on the offensive end, displaying intuition and instincts that adapted quickly with new changes to the game. She finished efficiently at the rim with her right and left, anticipated misses well off the rim to score putbacks, made smart basket cuts, and moved to open space on the perimet then drained the open three. @PGHMichigan @CoachDaveSmith1
