🍂🍂Hello Fall 🍂🍂 It's still warm outside but slowly the weather is going to start changing for South Carolina! Here's a few important 'to do' items to keep in mind for the weeks ahead 🔽

Thank you to @FairfieldCoFire & county leaders for recognizing @ColaFire during tonight’s county council meeting! We were honored to join the other agencies from across the state who had a role in helping during the massive fire at MLily USA last month.

Maintaining physical fitness is a top priority for every @ColaFire firefighter. This month our members took part in fitness testing to gauge strength and stamina levels across the department. Information taken in will guide future initiatives to keep our workforce healthy. 💪

Today we honor the memory of Battalion Chief Joseph 'Casey' Desso, who left this world five years ago after a sudden battle with illness. Throughout his career of 24 years Chief Desso worked to shape firefighters and future leaders of @ColaFire Continue to rest easy brother.

It has now been five years since we said goodbye to our beloved chaplain and brother in service Billie Bright. We continue to miss his smile and the compassion he brought taking care of our citizens and his fellow firefighters. We will never forget you Chaplain Bright.

While approaching the scene Engine 34 saw smoke in the air and called for a working fire dispatch. Upon arrival the smoke was traced to the rear of the property. Crews also had to deal with a power line that had fallen behind the home.

Just a few of the moments captured at the 9/11 Morning of Remembrance Ceremony held in downtown Columbia today. Our members were proud to join our partners in law enforcement and EMS for this solemn gathering.

Early this morning both career and volunteer firefighters with @ColaFire and the Irmo Fire District took part in a 9/11 Stair Climb held in the stands of Williams-Brice Stadium 🏟️ 110 floors of stairs to remember 343 heroes who gave everything on 9-11-01

In remembrance of the nearly three thousand lives that were lost and the heroes who were made on this fateful day 25 years ago. 🇺🇸 We renew our vow today to never forget the events of September 11, 2001.

The staff and residents of Life Care Center of Columbia hosted our members for the annual First Responders Breakfast 🥞 🍳 🥓 this morning! Fire Chief Jenkins was among the guests to stop by for a great meal!
