And this is why I hate statistics. Because we can just make up statistics about statistics and the only thing that really mattered was the actual final score. The eye test told me that the Chargers played better than the Chiefs for 2/3 of the game. But...

So the Chargers were generally more successful, and had significant worse luck with turnover-worthy plays vs actual turnovers. It's that simple. Maybe 26-15 isn't a perfect score, but it would be hard to make adjustments and not see the Chargers as better

...the game was 10-7 at the half. Despite appearing dominant, the Chargers were only up 3. Which means the Chiefs defense, though it didn't look impressive, did it's job and contained the Chargers. And the Chiefs had major miscues on offense. And finally...
