"Bitcoin ETFs Lose $635M as October Returns to Negative Territory"
US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $635 million in net outflows on Thursday, wiping out Wednesday’s $528 million in inflows and pushing October’s total flows to a $175 million net loss. The withdrawals ended a three-day inflow streak that brought in $1.08 billion, marking the largest single-day outflow since June 25. Despite the setback, Bitcoin ETFs maintained weekly net inflows of $443 million. Bitcoin traded around $81,783, down roughly 1% over 24 hours. Ether, Solana and Hyperliquid ETFs also recorded outflows, while XRP ETFs attracted approximately $3.6 million in inflows.
"Move Aside Memecoins: Crypto Meme Games Are the Next Big Trend"
AI could trigger a boom in crypto “meme games,” with Illuvium co-founder Kieran Warwick predicting that up to 100,000 games could launch within a year.
AI tools have reduced development time from months to just days and costs to around $1,000, making it easier to create short-lived, speculative games.
Warwick warns that many projects could turn out to be scams, suffer exploits, or quickly collapse, leaving investors with heavy losses despite the potential for massive gains. He compares the trend to the 2024 memecoin boom, when easy token creation drove the market to a $150.6 billion valuation before a sharp decline. While cheaper development could attract new players and revive crypto gaming, the flood of disposable games could also increase speculation and financial risks.
"Trump, World Liberty and Steve Witkoff Face Lawsuit From Circle Shareholder"
A Circle Internet Financial shareholder has sued US President Donald Trump, World Liberty Financial, and Steve Witkoff, alleging that their crypto dealings gave foreign governments a way to funnel money through the USD1 stablecoin, disadvantaging Circle’s USDC.
The lawsuit centers on a $2 billion investment by Abu Dhabi-backed MGX in Binance using USD1 in 2025. Shareholder J. Benjamin Greenberg claims the deals violated the US Constitution’s Foreign Emoluments Clause and seeks damages and measures to prevent similar transactions.
PHP Foundation Admits Security Failure After Critical Fix Delays!!
The PHP Foundation has admitted that internal indecision and a shortage of experienced developers delayed a critical security fix for a vulnerability first identified in 2024. PHP is a programming language used to power millions of websites and web applications. The flaw was serious because it could allow attackers to execute malicious code on vulnerable servers without logging in. The foundation described the prolonged delay as a “structural failure,” highlighting how limited resources and difficulties in reaching technical decisions can leave major security risks unresolved. The issue came into sharper focus after security researchers independently reported the vulnerability and demonstrated its potential severity.
Bitcoin Faces $87.7K Roadblock as Investors Look to Break Even!!
Bitcoin’s recovery is facing a major hurdle near $87,700, according to blockchain analytics firm Glassnode. The reason is simple: many investors who bought Bitcoin in late 2025 are still holding at a loss, and they may choose to sell when the price returns to what they originally paid. This behaviour creates selling pressure, making it harder for Bitcoin to climb higher. Glassnode’s analysis identifies $87,700 as a key resistance level, with another important cost-basis level around $99,500 for investors who bought one to two years ago. These price levels could influence how the market behaves during the next rally.
Bitcoin ETFs Pull In $528M as BTC Climbs Above $84K
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs are attracting fresh investor money as Bitcoin climbs above $84,000, signalling renewed interest in the world’s largest cryptocurrency. ETF inflows matter because they provide a way for traditional investors to gain exposure to Bitcoin without directly holding the asset. When these funds receive more money than they pay out, it can indicate stronger investment demand and potentially support prices. However, inflows alone do not guarantee that Bitcoin’s rally will continue, as market sentiment and selling pressure can still influence its direction.
BITCOIN TREASURY BOOM 2.0? COMPANIES MAY START BUYING AGAIN!
A Bitcoin price rally could encourage companies to increase their BTC holdings toward the end of 2026 and into 2027. However, analysts say the days when almost any company could easily raise money to buy Bitcoin may be over. Corporate Bitcoin buying slowed sharply in the third quarter of 2026. Strategy added a net 1,666 BTC, compared with 83,901 BTC in the previous quarter, while other public companies also significantly reduced their purchases.
YOUR CRYPTO WALLET COULD SOON PAY FOR EVERYDAY SHOPPING!
Visa has partnered with crypto payments network Mesh to make cryptocurrency and stablecoin balances usable for everyday purchases across Visa’s global payment network. The network covers more than 175 million merchant locations in over 200 countries and territories. Through the planned integration, users of participating crypto wallets will be able to pay online or in physical stores directly from their existing wallet balances, without needing to transfer funds to a bank account or obtain a separate crypto card.
US GOVERNMENT BLOCKS DEEPSEEK, SECURITY CONCERNS RISE!
The US Department of Homeland Security has ordered the removal of DeepSeek AI products and related third-party services using its technology from civilian federal government IT systems. The order also prohibits government agencies from acquiring these products and services. Officials cited national security concerns, including the potential transfer of sensitive data to China, the risk of intelligence being gathered on US entities, and possible malware or security vulnerabilities embedded in AI systems.
The move adds to growing scrutiny of Chinese technology by US authorities. Several other government bodies and US states have already taken steps to restrict DeepSeek or similar technologies over security concerns. The decision reflects a broader debate about whether AI tools developed by foreign companies can be safely used in government environments, particularly when sensitive information is involved. For now, the restriction specifically targets civilian federal government systems and procurement; it does not mean DeepSeek has been banned for every American or across all private-sector use. The development highlights how data security, international competition and AI regulation are increasingly shaping which technologies governments allow into their digital infrastructure.
SOUTH KOREA’S CRYPTO TAX COULD BE DELAYED AGAIN!!
South Korea is considering another delay to its planned cryptocurrency tax as pressure grows from the crypto industry and lawmakers. Finance officials are reportedly preparing to meet representatives from major crypto exchanges, including Upbit, Bithumb and Coinone, to discuss taxation and implementation challenges. The tax is currently scheduled to begin in January 2027, following several previous postponements. However, industry representatives argue that important transaction rules remain unresolved and exchanges need more time to prepare the technical systems required to handle taxation.
$75M MONEY-LAUNDERING NETWORK EXPOSED!!
Thai police have arrested a 37-year-old Chinese man wanted by authorities in China over alleged links to an international criminal network and money laundering. According to investigators, the network handled transactions worth more than 500 million yuan, equivalent to approximately $75 million. Police allege that the suspect facilitated cryptocurrency and foreign-currency exchanges for criminal groups through more than 133 accounts, putting digital asset transactions at the centre of the investigation.
Authorities also allege that he helped arrange visas for members of international criminal groups connected to other money-laundering cases. Investigators say he attempted to evade arrest using forged documents and by changing vehicle registration plates before police located him at a luxury property in Bangkok. His Thai visa had reportedly expired more than three years ago. He is expected to face legal proceedings in Thailand before authorities coordinate his return to China over an outstanding warrant. The case highlights how cryptocurrency can be exploited in alleged financial crime and why cross-border cooperation is becoming increasingly important in tackling money laundering. These remain allegations, and the legal process will determine the outcome.
BETTING ON ELECTIONS? MOST AMERICANS AREN’T BUYING IT!
A new Reuters poll suggests that most Americans oppose betting on election outcomes, raising questions about the growing popularity of prediction markets. These platforms allow people to place bets on real-world events, including political elections, using market prices to reflect what participants think is likely to happen.
The debate goes beyond money. Critics worry that allowing people to bet on elections could undermine public trust, create incentives to manipulate outcomes, or make an already sensitive political process more controversial. Supporters of prediction markets, however, argue that they can provide useful insights into public expectations. As election betting attracts more attention, the key question remains: should elections be treated as another market for people to trade on, or should they remain off-limits to gambling? The poll highlights a clear challenge for prediction-market platforms as regulators and the public weigh their potential benefits against the risks.
Metaplanet Plans $329M Bond Issue to Restructure Debt and Buy Back Shares!
Japanese Bitcoin treasury company Metaplanet is planning a major financial move without selling its Bitcoin holdings. The company plans to issue 52 billion yen ($329 million) in zero-coupon convertible bonds, with a five-year maturity ending in 2031. According to its announcement, approximately $149 million of the net proceeds will be used to repay Bitcoin-collateralized loans, while around $179 million is earmarked for share buybacks.
The strategy aims to reduce Metaplanet's reliance on Bitcoin-backed borrowing while restructuring its finances. The planned share repurchases also form part of a broader buyback program targeting up to 60 billion yen.
61,000 Bitcoin. Thousands of Victims. A Major Legal Setback!!
A UK High Court ruling has dealt a blow to Chinese fraud victims seeking to recover more than 61,000 BTC seized by British authorities. The case stems from an investment fraud scheme orchestrated by Zhimin Qian between 2014 and 2017. The scheme reportedly affected more than 128,000 investors, with funds eventually linked to the Bitcoin seized during a UK money-laundering investigation.
On Monday, Justice Mark Turner ruled that Chinese law, rather than English law, must determine whether the claimants have property rights in the seized Bitcoin. The decision does not establish who will ultimately receive the assets, but it creates another legal hurdle for victims seeking recovery.
The distinction matters because the victims had argued that English law could help them claim direct ownership of the Bitcoin, rather than merely seek compensation as creditors. The seized holdings are now worth more than $5 billion, making the dispute even more significant.
Strive Adds 3,311 BTC as Holdings Cross 32,700 BTC!
Strive is strengthening its position in the corporate Bitcoin race. The publicly traded Bitcoin treasury company purchased 3,311 BTC during the week ending October 9, bringing its total holdings to 32,773 BTC.
The purchase was supported by $208 million in warrant exercises, giving the company additional capital to expand its Bitcoin treasury. Strive's holdings increased by 11.2% during the reporting period, outpacing the 9.4% increase in its effective common share count. This means its Bitcoin holdings per share also increased.
90 Crypto-Related Attacks in 7 Months, Why France Is on Alert!
Owning Bitcoin could put more than your digital wallet at risk. French authorities recorded 90 cryptocurrency-related cases involving kidnappings, abductions, extortion, threats and violent theft between January 1 and mid-August 2026. The figures, shared by France’s Interior Ministry with Cointelegraph, also show 223 arrests and 126 people imprisoned during the reported periods. These crimes, often called “wrench attacks,” involve criminals using physical threats or violence to force crypto holders to hand over their assets or reveal access credentials. The incidents have spread beyond Paris to several other French cities, raising serious concerns about the physical safety of crypto investors.

Meta is stepping up its AI game! The company has unveiled two new models, Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, describing them as its most capable AI models yet and a step toward what CEO Mark Zuckerberg calls “personal superintelligence.” The models introduce two key features: Active Memory, which helps AI retain relevant information across conversations, and Active Focus, which helps it work through complex tasks for longer. The launch puts Meta in direct competition with leading AI developers, including OpenAI and Anthropic.
South Korea Targets 27 Crypto Websites, KuCoin & MEXC Included!
South Korea is tightening its grip on unregistered crypto platforms! Authorities have approved measures to block access to 27 cryptocurrency exchange websites, including KuCoin, MEXC, Phemex and Bitrue. The crackdown targets platforms that have not registered under the country’s anti-money laundering laws. The restrictions extend an earlier effort to block unregistered exchange apps, bringing websites into the enforcement push as well.
But there’s a catch!
