From a factory worker to a full-stack developer in 1.5 years of grind.
I’m not saying this to flex.
I’m saying this because I didn’t believe it was possible either.
1.5 years ago, I was working in a vegetables factory.
10 hours a day. Packing. Picking. Standing.
Physically exhausting. Mentally draining.
I had dropped out of college because of financial issues.
This felt like the end of the road.
A friend told me: “Try learning to code.”
I saved whatever money I could.
Took some help from my parents.
Bought a laptop.
Quit the factory job.
For a while, the internet became my university.
I kept remembering something @elonmusk once said:
“Everything you need to learn is available on the internet for free.”
I used that line like a rule.
HTML, CSS, JavaScript one month.
Then React.
No fancy courses. Just docs, projects, and breaking things.
Got my first internship.
Struggled. Learned. Improved.
After 4 months, I pushed harder:
– Deep React (no tutorial hopping)
– Backend basics
– Some DSA
That grind got me a full-stack role at a US-based company (onsite in Bhopal).
Life tested me again when my grandfather the person I always looked up to had a heart attack.
It broke me.
I quit. Took time. Regrouped.
Started freelancing.
Got 2 to 3 projects.
Kept moving forward.
My journey hasn’t been clean.
It’s been messy, uncertain, and uncomfortable.
But here I am.
2025 was just a warm-up.
2026 is execution.
If you’re starting from zero
don’t underestimate what 1–2 years of focused grind can do.

Today I made my first ₹500 from a local business using @ChatGPT
And honestly, ₹500 is not the interesting part.
A few days ago, I met a grocery shop owner.
He was planning to print pamphlets and distribute them in nearby societies to promote his store.
His offer was simple:
₹250+ purchase → FREE HOME DELIVERY.
I told him:
Why spend money printing pamphlets?
Let's make something people can directly use on WhatsApp.
So I started building it.
→ A promotional banner.
→ A Marathi WhatsApp message.
→ A simple WhatsApp ordering flow.
→ A pre-filled message.
→ And finally, a clickable link.
→ Click the link.
→ WhatsApp opens.
→ The message is already written.
→ Tap Send.
→ The shop gets the enquiry.
I tested the whole thing myself before giving it to him.
It worked.
And today, he paid me ₹500 for it.
This made me realize something.
**AI isn't interesting because it can generate text or images.**
**It's interesting when you can take a real-world problem...**
and actually build a solution for it in a few hours!!!
I used @ChatGPT throughout the process.
- For the copy.
- For the campaign idea.
- For the customer flow.
- For the creative direction.
But I still had to actually build it, test it and make sure it worked.
That's the part I like.
Not replacing the work.
Doing more useful work, faster.
I'm going to share the exact prompt + workflow I used for this project for FREE.

I'll send it to you!

Factory worker → full-stack developer.
That was Version 1.
Here's Version 2.
It's been 5 months since I posted anything.
Not because nothing was happening.
Because everything was.
After my last post blew up I froze.
Imposter syndrome hit different when 32,000 people are watching.
So I went quiet.
And I built.
Freelancing.
Project by project.
Client by client.
No viral posts. No daily updates. No LinkedIn grind content.
Just work.
And then something happened that I still can't fully believe.
₹77,000. From freelancing alone.
Not a salary. Not an internship stipend.
Money I earned by building things people actually needed.
I'm not showing you my GitHub graph.
I'm not telling you I coded 12 hours a day.
I'm telling you the gap you saw those 5 months of silence that was the real grind.
The one nobody posts about.
Version 1 was the story of starting.
Version 2 is proof that starting was worth it.
If you're in your silent era right now
Keep building.
Your Version 2 is coming!

My brother sells vegetables in our local market.
His entire inventory system was one notebook.
Prices overwritten. Stock missing. Math chaos.
So I built him a simple React app for his shop.
Now he manages everything from his phone 🥬
Try it out here : vegie.vercel.app
