Dans un entretien à Bloomberg, Volodymyr Zelensky dit que l’Ukraine a presque épuisé ses intercepteurs Patriot américains.
Sa proposition : « Nous pourrions cesser de frapper les raffineries russes pendant 30 jours, et en échange nous attendrions de l’Amérique qu’elle nous aide à protéger notre ciel pendant ces mêmes 30 jours, seulement 30 jours, avec des intercepteurs Patriot » (ma traduction).
Kyiv a déjà fait un geste à la demande de Donald Trump. Selon le Kyiv Post, Zelensky rappelle que l’Ukraine a suspendu ces frappes plusieurs jours, « mais les Russes ont continué d’attaquer nos infrastructures énergétiques quand même » (ma traduction).
Voilà l’équation. D’un côté, une pause assortie d’une contrepartie défensive précise. De l’autre, des missiles balistiques toutes les nuits.
Washington affirme vouloir un accord de paix durable. Trente jours de pause contre trente jours de Patriot, c’est le test le plus simple qui existe.
Si Washington ne répond pas, ce sont les Européens qui doivent combler. Des Patriot, des intercepteurs. MAINTENANT. #SkyShield
