When time is the scarce resource, burning other resources is the rational choice e.g. LLMs, F1 race.
But is time a scarce resource in Software Development? Or we are using software development as a first step to something bigger?
Tried copying Anthropic's playbook for scaling code reviews on my team. Opus 5.5 nailed the policy docs: a solid Review.md and Security.md. But, the performance was unimpressive in defining goals, metrics to track, and a practical feedback loop.
I am architecting GraphQL APIs for a major enterprise application and the hardest part are developer workflows and adoption around the technology. As expected AI isn’t of much use tbh because we don’t have everything perfect. Software Engineering isn’t done.
A Canada-India trade deal can benefit both sides immensely. It will help to reduce the rising living costs in Canada and will provide India an opportunity to look for partners other than US.
Let’s go! 🇮🇳-🇨🇦
This morning, I spoke with Prime Minister Modi to build on the renewed momentum of the Canada-India relationship — across trade, energy, defence and security, finance, and people-to-people ties.

My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.
I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.
He is a true hero.
AI won’t kill you but this madness to burn energy resources to automate code generation will certainly do if unchecked.

Bangalore produces around 7,000 tonnes of waste a day, roughly 3,000 tonnes of that is wet waste. All of it has to be collected, segregated, and processed every single day. A lot of it still ends up badly treated or in a landfill.
We got to know the @HasiruDalaInnov team a few years ago. They've spent years doing the thankless part of this, collecting and segregating waste at scale. But wet waste has remained a problem. Dry waste has buyers. Wet waste goes bad too quickly to store, and composting it usually loses money.
@carbonmastersuk takes that wet waste and turns it into biogas you can cook with. More importantly, they've made a business out of it.
Put the two together, and it's fairly obvious. Hasiru Dala has the waste and knows how to sort it. Carbon Masters knows how to generate economic value out of it by generating biogas and organic manure.
This problem goes beyond Bengaluru's garbage. India imports about 60% of our LPG and half our natural gas. Turning our own waste into fuel is about as self-reliant as it gets.
We need more people working on hard problems like this. That’s also why we’ve backed both Hasiru Dala Innovations and Carbon Masters through @Rainmatterin.
We spent some time at their Harohalli plant to understand how it all fits together for our latest Rainmatter Original. If you've ever wondered where the waste from our homes actually goes, this is worth a watch (full episode link in comments).🙂
Senior engineering roles should have a fixed term maximum 3 years. Go beyond that, and you risk the Joker Principle: they either move on as the hero, or stick around long enough to become the villain.

It's not about you. It's about the idiots who trust what you are doing & believe your crap.

Quick Superlogical demo to end the week. This demo is just of the basic functionality, but I want to highlight just how FAST it is. There's a WHOLE lot more functionality already present and coming but I wanted to keep the demo short. But seriously, check out that speed.
I'm showing the macOS app here and I get asked a lot so let me just say up front: its not macOS only. We're still figuring out exactly what platforms will be stable enough for the initial public release, but we're working on others. In particular, the web interface is very functional but I'll demo that another time (or someone else will).
This is also all showing off the architecture I previously talked about for terminal multiplexing which is significantly different from other mainstream multiplexers: this is all a custom binary protocol where the server is maintaining N replica distributed terminal state machines. It works!
Tons of hard work going into this by the team @almonk @dizzyup @pearkes. Hope we can bring you something you can use soon. ❤️ Happy to answer questions in the replies.
Of fuck, just had the realisation that all this insane VC funding is moving toward terminal development because they will act like an Apple Store in future.
People like Elon and Trump are inhibitors to progress in the long term.
