I'll say it again, and again, and again. Bouaddi, Anderson and Cherki works against almost every opponent from a tactical perspective. Bouaddi anchors/screens & circulates, Anderson connects and progresses, Cherki creates between the lines. Two of those are ground eaters OOP & pure duellers. It was simple: take Enzo off, bring Bouaddi on alongside Cherki in the second half, and Villa were done. But Maresca doesn't see it, and that's shocking.

The worrying thing about this Manchester City team is how easy we’ve become to play against. Midfield gets bypassed, the defence gets exposed, and the attack looks disconnected. Everything is suffering because the team isn’t functioning as a unit. Enzo Maresca has serious work to do.
