I wrote a thing! Check it out. #COVID19 shows us what government is capable of when we center what people actually need, and the program I help lead -- #CfAbrigade Network -- is showing up in beautiful, leader-full ways to supercharge that kind of work.
We’re seeing brand new #COVID19 response projects cropping up throughout the #CfABrigadeNetwork, centering on-the-ground user needs of both impacted community members and their local governments. Learn more about this work: okt.to/0U8lA6 #NationalVolunteerWeek

If someone says they can’t find enough women in tech to hire, encourage, promote, show them this picture of 25000 amazing women in tech and assure them that not all of them came to attend #GHC19 and there are more back home! 😉#womenintech #AnitaB #Equity #5050By2025

experiment to feature...🚨 you can now post your ideas on Makerpad and I'll reply to them with what tools, tutorials and stories are relevant/helpful from homepage or: makerpad.co/how-do-i-build-w… cool thing: all pages are automatically generated by @webflow CMS 🤤
Trying this out... reply with what you want to build and I'll suggest ways to do it without code 👇

My #NationalDayofCivicHacking team at @OpenOakland is trying to figure out how people are supposed to clear their criminal records based on what we can find available on the web (automatic aside). It's CONFUSING. #empathy try courts.ca.gov/1070.htm for an example. – at Oakland, CA

How do you collaborate well in a remote team? Process + tools are the first things to figure out. I wrote a brand new piece on best practices for both, based on our remote work survey data + insights from 1,000+ managers in thewatercooler.io... knowyourteam.com/blog/2019/0…

Even if you throw it away (I've done this!) you can blow people away with delivering a real thing — a real thing you could turn on today! — without requiring 13 meetings and a change management process to do so.

I'm taking a new approach when a dev asks me for help, the first thing I say to them is "Tell me about what you have tried." This invites them to lead the discussion rather than myself. Plus, we all know the benefits of talking about your approach out loud 😉
