Donna's friend @craftedinchaos is fundraising for a new wheelchair and she's SO CLOSE to her target! Please help her out if you can. @_QueenOfNaps_ and I both know how much of a difference having the right mobility aids can make. justgiving.com/crowdfunding/…

We're now £465 away from our target on the #GoFundMe to get @_QueenOfNaps_ a more suitable wheelchair! We massively appreciate everyone who has donated and shared so far. If I could ask folks to keep sharing, I would be extremely thankful! gofund.me/72caabd2

My partner's wheelchair is no longer suitable because of a huge change in her needs Unfortunately a newer, sturdier chair is expensive, so we've set up a #GoFundMe to try and help raise some money Any donations or shares would be massively appreciated! gf.me/u/3766kh

Cool, you love functional programming. A course on the fundamentals of JS isn't the place to push that on people. And yeah, that exercise you wrote involves doing a load of clever things, but it doesn't really help people understand what they're doing and probably trips them up.

So I've been updating/rewriting a workshop that someone else has made recently. It's made me realise how many courses feel the author has written them to show off or push their opinion rather than actually teaching folks what they need to know.

The rent freeze announcement and upcoming rent controls have been bringing out some absolutely bonkers arguments from landlords, so here is a quick thread debunking some of the biggest myths out there on rent controls:

Haha, this is exactly how I feel about the term Island Architecture, too. jQuery widgets for the win! 👏 @rachsmithtweets rachsmith.com/wtf-is-an-isla…
When I first read about how islands architecture works: the HTML for a page is rendered by the server and then sections (islands) of that page are made interactive via JavaScript, I was confused. Isn’t that just describing how we built webpages back in 2011 with jQuery?
