Hi Astra users. A reset and a quick update on quality issues that have been posted around. Working with some of you, we have found and fixed the following issues: - Some skills written for previous models were triggering too often or preventing the model from checking its work. - An opt-in context management experiment that could cause early stops or replies to older messages. We've disabled it. Our rough estimate is that 4-5k users were affected by this experiment. - We've also removed some badly configured engines that resulted in a measured quality degradation for a long tail of traffic flowing through them. We’ve also made some more minor improvements and things should feel significantly better across the board. More consistent follow-through, better tracking of your latest message, and better checks on the work as it’s going through the motions. The examples posted and all the users who worked directly with us were incredibly useful in helping fix things quickly. Always grateful for this incredible community. And of course, a reset is also landing by midnight today.

Any update on refusals from Astra? Previously automated doing everything I needed on android as well as running any command i needed for implementing a feature and now get “Blocked by policy” on even commands like restarting nginx and ngrok tunnel… and oddly unable to bypass it

For ex., typing a url in the brower on android (to go to webapp) returned the same blocked by policy error as having it try to restart nginx and ngrok tunnel. At some other point in the day the nginx and ngrok tunnel command was fine to run though

It's me again. I come bearing great news. First of all, we have hit 20M active users for Codex some time this week. Second of all, this is cause for celebration and during the day we will credit every Codex and ChatGPT Work user with a BANKED reset that you can use at your own leisure. And we will have some other good news later too! Now, on usage limits draining faster, while we're not seeing anything abnormal, we do take it incredibly seriously and there is an ongoing investigation. I will share if we do find anything and my below post is really a clarification on a specific pattern that we did see that I wanted to call out. Go do something amazing today.

We've investigated a few messages about codex usage limits being different. That's not something we change without engaging the community and being transparent. What we did see is that when talking to affected users many were using sub2api. Converting a subscription into api traffic to then re-serve or share across many users is not something we support and this type of usage gets flagged by our fraud-prevention systems. You are completely fine if you use your subscription through Sign in With ChatGPT, either through the official clients or through one of the many OSS clients (Pi, OpenCode, ...) that support signing in with your account and using your included usage.

Thank you @thsottiaux its definitely appreciated 🙏 Regarding limits, on a $200 Pro plan compared to a month ago or so, working in 3-4 repos with hefty changes in a day would maybe take 10-15% but the same work now drained about 40% in a single day 😩

I was able to work across 4 large sized repos for almost a week and still have a large chunk of the usage limit left, now after two days across work in 2-3 repos I’m almost at 0 💀 $80 for a reset that will come in 2 days anyway feels crazy to do. Something definitely changed :/
