Why is @gigaverse one of the most appreciated games on @AbstractChain? The Basics: It is generally F2P, however you do need a Noob Character that comes at a very low cost (0.00369 ETH on the Abstract chain). This likely limits, to some extent, the use of multi-accounts and it also makes users more invested in their progress. It is a personal journey - you fight your way through Floors and Rooms and as you go on further and further you can upgrade your character's skills. But, every time you lose you start from Floor 1 Room 1 so those Floor 1 beasts could be a struggle even for a seasoned player - in a bad day! The Scarcity Element: Every game requires 40 energy points - this means that a regular player can play 6 games a day. These games can go very fast if you let that AI beast play with your mind! This leaves many Gigaverse players wanting for more. Extra energy and resources can be gained by owning ROMs, a Gigaverse NFT collection, but even this one was built with scarcity in mind. All resources have a weekly amount of energy and resources, which is offering a competitive advantage. However, in order to be at a large distance versus F2P players you really need to be a ROM whale. The Surprise Element: As you advance to higher rooms and floors, the game drops randomly scarcer and scarcer elements: it might be a legendary body or head element (btw, naked playing is the Alpha) or rare materials that do not have yet a designated utility. The new crafting table also adds to the adrenaline - with a 70% success rate (the jury is still out on this one) you might hit an unlucky streak and send those materials to the drain with no XP in hand. The Community: Could have not ended this review without highlighting the great Gigaverse community that reminds me of my early days in web3 gaming when just being part of a fun, supportive community was enough to make our day! Kudos to all Giga players and let's play! P.S. My personal best is Floor 3 - Room 1!
