Aaron has been taking part in the stairclimb for 10 years.
While his main reason for doing the climb is his commitment to the community & supporting those with cancer, he also wants to inspire firefighters to get in a fitness mindset.

Delegates at our convention unanimously approved to name our Fall Legislative Conference after Curtis Oscar Noble, who suddenly and tragically passed in December 2022. Curtis was an incredible leader and advocate for IAFF members. He will not be forgotten.

We can have safe gear without unsafe chemicals. In Durham yesterday, I made it clear: It’s time for industry and regulatory groups to act. Our fire fighters and communities depend on it.

What an incredible story about the outcome of a call that St. Albert firefighters responded to in 2022!
The fire-medics performed a successful water rescue and restored a pulse. This was followed by amazing care from AB healthcare professionals, which led to a full recovery.

While firefighters are exposed to over 265 known carcinogens in a structure fire, many don’t know that firefighters are also exposed to harmful chemicals within the fabric of their gear.
We’re grateful to see a documentary bring light to this issue.

Incredibly proud of everyone involved in this gripping documentary #Burned—Diane Cotter's valiant fight to bring awareness to harmful PFAS in firefighter turnout gear. It's time for this story to be heard to protect the heroes that protect us.

We are pleased to be able to participate on the the Alberta EMS Provincial Advisory Committee. There is much work that’s needs to be done to ensure the people of Alberta have an EMS system that supports those on the frontline, and puts the needs of patients first.

PTSD, burnout, a pandemic, and a system that isn’t meeting the needs of its practitioners or patients. Alberta’s Paramedics and Fire Fighter-Paramedics are in crisis. Between Aug and Dec, 2021, Calgary and Edmonton were issuing red alerts every 90 minutes. macleans.ca/longforms/canadi…

Medical first response from fire departments is the only reason our heads are above water as paramedics.
Going to swallow my pride and call a spade a spade; today their quick response and skill saved a life.
Kudos gentleman.
