Thrilled to announce that our new PIP-CpG paper is now live @J_Immunol . PIP-CpG is a tumor-targeting immunotherapy that is in preclinical development & we are hoping to advance it to the clinic in the coming years. doi.org/10.4049/jimmunol.220… . A 🧵👇(1/13)

TLR9 (CpG) agonist was chemically conjugated to polyspecific integrin-binding peptide (PIP) that is capable to localise various types of solid tumours as explained by Caitlyn Miller from @CochranLab at @Stanford #PEGS22 @PEGSboston

Happy to share our lab's first manuscript. In work led by @JTheruvath_MD, we tested a combo of FDA approved anti-GD2 with blockade of CD47, a macrophage checkpoint. Blocking CD47 unleashes patients' macrophages to phagocytose or 'eat' cancer cells. Combo was highly effective! 1/
📢 New in @NatureMedicine! Great work led by @Majzner_Lab @JTheruvath_MD shows that the combo of anti-GD2 + CD47 blockade ⬆️ anti-tumor activity in 🐭 models of #neuroblastoma, #osteosarcoma & #lungcancer by modulating #macrophage activity #immunotherapy nature.com/articles/s41591-0…

When the pandemic hit, @CochranLab jumped on the opportunity to fire crystals on SLAC’s new beam line as part of our #COVID19 research. Rather than target the virus directly, my work focuses on modulating the immune system to fight this new disease. Check out the feature here:
In the middle of the pandemic, SLAC's Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource started up a new beam line. Their efforts are already helping SARS-CoV-2 researchers better understand the virus. stanford.io/30pB37O

Our new nanoluc substrate paper is online! If you are using NanoLuc-based reporter for your in vivo application, you could try this out to boost the signal while lowering the toxicity. Thanks @promega for the fantastic collaboration and thanks @michaelzlin for the mentoring.
Excited to announce our new work @naturemethods on improving bioluminescence imaging in vivo (good for seeing cancer or infections). A great collaboration with our friends at @promega and Stanford. Last experiment done on shutdown day😉 full text: rdcu.be/b5AwD
