I’ve been completely silent on the PI no call, but I am SHOCKED at how it being DPI is universally accepted when the only contact Evan had with the receiver when the ball was ever in the vicinity was the receiver grabbing him. Great no call and even better coverage
I really liked @KirkHerbstreit ‘s comments here on both BYU and the potential expanded playoff. Joey is a little stubborn on all fronts, but Kirk seems genuinely hopeful- or at least wants to be about our Cougs and the future of football.

Different from basketball where we see 0.1 on the clock, football shows .01 as 1 and 0 is actually zero. More likely than not there wasn’t time.
But if there was then I demand we see that played out so BYU can cap the game with a pick 6!

Just because you can’t SEE tenths on the clock DOES NOT mean football doesn’t use them.
4.4 seconds remaining would display :05.
3.9 seconds remaining would display :04.
Even 0.1 seconds remaining still shows :01. That way, :00 means time is actually up. Otherwise, :00 could still have almost a full second left.
I've had to explain this to hundreds of fans ever since the Western Michigan game.

I keep seeing “most blatant PI ever” and it’s just not that. It could have been called PI, but it was weak, WR did more holding than the DB, and the ball was way off target. “Blatant” is wild to say.
The clock issue is valid but hey, you had 59:59 before that to make a play.
