So you’re saying there’s a chance… 😏 With 12 games left, the Rangers sit two games under .500, but still have two paths to October. Both come down to the same thing: they have to outpace the teams they’re chasing. Texas is just one game back of Houston, but the Astros own the tiebreaker, so the Rangers need to finish with a win ahead of them to take the West. In the Wild Card race, while trailing both clubs, Texas holds the tiebreaker over both Cleveland and Toronto. The Blue Jays series, beginning Friday, won’t change that as Texas already has the season series locked up after sweeping them in four back in June. FanGraphs gives the Rangers a 31% chance to reach the playoffs, while Baseball Reference’s model puts those odds at 21.3%. A nine-game homestand starts tomorrow with the Red Sox, then Toronto in town Friday for a pivotal three-game set, then the Mets. This stretch likely decides the season. Get to the park and be loud for the Rangers as they push toward October. Use code RANGERSNATION for 25% off your tickets all homestand long. Do you think Texas has what it takes to pull through in the final stretch? 👇
