Ability WPA Early Access NOW LIVE! 🗣️
Ability WPA takes the same method we use for items, runes and spells and applies it to every skill point you put in, so you can see which skill orders actually add to your chance of winning.
We're launching in Early Access for Premium members, here's what you'll find on the page:
The ability grid shows the WPA and number of games for every ability at every level from 1 to 18. The coloured bars show how high or low the WPA is, and the white bars show how big the sample size is.
We've also built in a recommended skill order which is highlighted across the grid, and it can be toggled on or off.
Similarly to builds, you can click any level-up to lock it in and the rest of the grid updates to show what works best from that point on.
Below the grid, the Max Order and Opener tables compare every max order and five-point opener by their stats.
We've also included champions with evolutions like Kha'Zix, and the example shows how much can be hiding in the data. 85.8% of Kha'Zix players max W second, with a -0.43 WPA, while maxing E second has a +2.67 WPA across 53K games. On evolves, taking W at level 11 has a +0.69 WPA, compared with -1.58 for E.
Triple Tonic's extra skill point from level 9 is tracked separately too, so it doesn't skew the rest of the data.
As usual, everything can be filtered by role, matchup, patch, rank & region.

I've climbed 1000 LP in 10 Days with Shen Bot lane.
Here's the secret guide I sent to Midbeast explaining why the pick is OP and how I win most games at level 1:
- I go top lane level 1 every game, start E if I have 3+ people (can kill during taunt), if I'm alone with top laner then I start Q and wait in first bush, if enemy walks into me with Q we kill as 2 people as well
- If I don't get level 1 kill from top, I will solo invade enemy top side jungle level 1 and try to kill enemy jg
- If I don't find enemy jungle, then I gank mid lane level 1 with E from topside
- This creates 3 opportunities for early game kills
- After these, I recall (walk if ganked mid) back to bot lane
- I look for taunt under tower at level 2+ when enemy hits tower, you will notice I condition enemy by moving up for last hits a couple of times without using E and then when I see an opportunity I will not go for last hit and instead go for E
- When I hit 6 I almost always recall and look to ulti my supp, very OP kill angle + reset
- Keystone: Stormraider's Surge is really op, Shen top can't use it as well because it's harder to trigger on tanky champions. Stormraider allows you to trade with E and escape/chase depending on if you win the all-in or not. There's also a bug with Stormraider if you have multiple on the team: everyone with Stormraider's that hits the same target counts towards same 25% hp threshold, so its super easy to trigger.
- Rest of the Runes: Axiom Arcanist for ULT CD and slight shield increase, Transcendence for AH, Gathering Storm is the best from the last row even though Shen doesn't use Adaptive Force that well (the other two runes are just bad). Secondaries Shield Bash, Second Wind (self-explanatory for Shielding champ against ranged)
- Core Build: Titanic Hydra -> T2 Boots (Steelcaps 99% of the time) -> Dusk & Dawn -> Flex Situational Items
