This is nice to see. Finally as the new norm? I am glad I got ridiculed by all the older coaches for 10-15 years for bringing this up as a suggestion to what "S&C" actually should be. MOVEMENT also!!!! I was kind. Never wavered or rude. Just stuck to my beliefs.

Gregg Popovich said, “It’s your job to make me play you.”
Playing time is earned.
A victim mindset says…I didn’t play because coach doesn’t like me.
A winning mindset says…I didn’t play because I haven’t earned it yet.
Don’t be a victim.

The silent killers of team culture aren’t dramatic.
They are small. Ignored. Repeated.
- One player always late
- Excuses nobody challenges
- Poor effort that slides unnoticed
- Side conversations during meetings
By the time you see the damage?
Trust is gone.

“It’s a process. It’s a way you go about doing things. It’s a high standard, high expectation, it’s accountability. It’s discipline, commitment, toughness, work ethic, pride. It’s wanting to be great vs. wanting to be normal,” Curt Cignetti

💡 Every emotion is okay. Every behavior is not.
Elite performers feel everything—frustration, disappointment, pressure.
But they don’t act on impulse. They regulate. They reset. They respond with intention.
Because bad body language doesn’t just show weakness…
It drags the whole team down.
🧠 Emotional regulation isn’t soft.
It’s the separator.

“Our hardest workers are our best players. It’s not fake. Our best players are our hardest workers. Go out and watch them practice and it’s like that everyday. That’s the standard. So if you’re not up to that standard with the effort matching what our best players do, you’re not going to be around here very long,” Dan Campbell
