Starting my morning with a new EP from Ryota Nozaki, aka Jazztronik, the perfect soundtrack to ease into the day.

Jazztronik’s new four-track EP, “Memento”, is out now!
The title track, “Memento”, is a mid-tempo, piano-led piece bringing together jazz, Latin influences and the feel of a film soundtrack. Ren Yamamoto played bass on this one.
The second track, “Lazy Beauty”, might be something new for Jazztronik. It’s a laid-back jazz piano piece with a touch of experimental sound design. I imagined a slow morning with a slightly languid mood.
The third track, “Asakusa Midnight Odyssey”, is hard to pin down to any one genre. It was inspired by a little late-night trip around Asakusa I took this summer, and has a slightly 80s feel to it.
The fourth track is “Lion Rider”. I originally wrote it as a house track for Grand Green Osaka, but I liked it so much that I reworked it for this release. The whistle-like synth melody that comes in partway through reminds me of “Kimba the White Lion” and “A Fistful of Dollars”. That’s where the title came from.
Hope you enjoy listening!

I seem to recall the EFF fighting against the VAT increase, pushing to end data expiry from telecommunications providers, tabling the Insourcing Bill, and tabling the Student Debt Cancellation Bill—all since the 2024 elections . Yet because they don't sing "abahambe," you claim they aren't prioritizing South Africans? Ehh
