🏀 #1 player in the class of 2033. Might reclassify her though!!! UConn @UConnHuskies and Notre Dame @ndwbb already interested 😂 😂 😂
4 years old and already starting to show some natural form shooting the ball. Rolled off the fingers pretty naturally. Dress and all! 😂 🏀

The #1 goal in youth basketball:
Create an environment where kids love the game so much that they can’t wait to come back next year.
Teach them. Challenge them. Build their confidence. Make it fun.
If they fall in love with the game, they’ll keep coming back. And if they keep coming back, they’ll keep getting better.
That’s what youth basketball should be about. 🏀

Lakewood High School used to hit us with a straight forward and honest dose of reality on the morning announcements everyday…

There’s always an AAU team with 7 players, reversible jerseys and no logo that you should be very afraid of. No hype, no emotion, just a team name you’ve never heard of. Then they hit you with flare screens and Princeton stuff and make you look silly. Coach barely says a word.
1 thing I always wondered about that study is how different were the swings? When we parallel that information to basketball is that a huge difference in shooting a basketball? Yes, the shots aren’t the same but I wonder how much difference there is? I think 1”or 2” difference.

I’m curious to see which shooters were affected less by those non - strike - zone passes? Where there players that it effected less? If so, was their training less or more rigid or less or more varied when it came to reps.
NBA catch-and-shoot threes went in at 42% off a strike-zone pass and 29% off a bad one.
That made me think about something we rarely talk about: the defender who affects the shot might not be the one closing out.
