Hill-Murray's Bill Lechner has announced this will be his final season behind the bench for the Pioneers.
Lechner is fourth all-time in career wins with 649 and was elected to the Minnesota Hockey Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2022.
His coaching career began as an assistant for Hill-Murray in 1979. He became the head coach in 1997-98 after coaching at Stillwater and has been behind the bench for the Pioneers ever since, leading them to state titles in 2008 and 2020.

On Oct. 13, join SCFCU, St. Cloud Subaru, @gosartellsabres and our entire Sartell community as we come together for a night that brings us all together to raise funds in support of our TriUnity Foundation and those impacted by cancer.
