High school athletes: these ARE the good old days.
The team dinners.
The early mornings.
The bus rides.
The big wins.
The tough losses.
One day, you’ll wish you could get one of these days back. Don’t wait until it’s over to appreciate it.
Soak it in now.

"Nothing is really fun unless it's hard ...
You're pushing yourself. All of a sudden you're making great plays.
You're doing things that you've never done before...
Never hope that it's easy."

"There's two kinds of pain in life.
There's the pain of discipline, and there's the pain of regret.
Sometimes these guys don't like the pain of discipline (practice every day-get in the gym-get in the weight room).
But the pain of regret is with you the rest of your life."

Our profession doesn’t need more egos, jerks, or coaches with questionable character.
It needs more men who lead with humility, integrity, and respect towards their players, their fellow coaches, and everyone around them.

If we had a nickel for every time we've won a national championship 13-2, we'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Ran into the next Sooners great while in Omaha today! Go be great big guy! @GreydonHowell4
The trio is in Omaha! Getting to see the best 1st base coach in the nation! #BOOMER
