🚨Aspiring College Athletes!🚨
One of the biggest recruiting mistakes I see is chasing the NAME on the front of the jersey instead of the OPPORTUNITY.
Where can you play?
Where can you develop?
Where does the coaching staff believe in you?
Where do you fit academically?
There’s nothing wrong with having big goals.
But playing college sports is a lot more fun when you actually PLAY.
Parents/coaches — would you rather your player sit at a bigger program or play immediately somewhere else?
Where are you celebrated vs tolerated! #CollegeSports

Recruits — YOUR GPA MATTERS.
The higher your GPA, the more opportunities you can create for yourself.
Handle your business on the field AND in the classroom.

I don’t understand why players pass on college offers when a coach truly wants them. If the financial package is good and you have a real opportunity to play, take it. Stop chasing the bigger logo. Too many players end up in the transfer portal 10 months later.

Recruiting 101:
You’re upset about not getting a hit?
But, Coach is impressed with your approach and ability to find barrel!
You’re angry that you rolled over?
But, Coach likes your speed and your hard 90!
You think 1 bad game ruined your future?
But, Coach loves your attitude, your hustle and the way you play!
YOU CAN STILL MAKE A HUGE IMPACT EVEN WITH BAD RESULTS!
A Coach’s perspective is usually way different than yours!

Never repost your teammate's posts on social media.
Here's why.
A college coach hears about you.
The first thing he does is visit your profile.
He's looking for one thing.
Your film.
Instead, he scrolls past repost after repost of your teammate's highlights.
He can't quickly find your plays.
So he leaves.
And moves on to the next recruit.
Just like that, you lost an opportunity.
The fix takes about ten seconds.
You can still repost your teammate's highlights.
Just leave the repost up for 24 hours.
Then remove it.
You still supported your teammate.
But now, when a coach visits your profile, he sees exactly what he came for.
Your plays.
Your highlights.
Your film.
That's how you turn a profile visit into real recruiting interest.
Remember this.
Your social media profile is your first impression with a college coach.
Don't waste it on someone else's highlights.
