NEWS: 2027 4⭐ RJ Moore has committed to Rutgers, he told @LeagueRDY. The 6-foot-7 guard out of Ambassador Christian School (NC) chose Rutgers over Vanderbilt, Alabama, Wake Forest and many others. #54 in the @SCNext 100.

RJ Moore is an undeniable talent. And the things that Steve Pikiell emphasizes on a daily basis at Rutgers could be exactly what he needs to put all the pieces together. 247sports.com/college/basket…

Drake Maye’s focus was always football. But then he’d show up in basketball season and dominate on the hard wood. Here are the stories from Drake Maye’s basketball career: nytimes.com/athletic/6966097…

This Weekend marked 250 games coached together with @CoachSMT 10 Years. Its what alignment, trust and friendship looks like. Idk if we got another 250 in us but the journey still has a bunch of layers to unfold. Not bad being 5-1 at @JohnWallHoliday in two appearances either!

Not going to make many coaching friends here but… I didn’t realize until getting into HS basketball how much the charge has (rightfully) been officiated out of college basketball. It’s an epidemic in HS basketball. Standing under an airborne offensive player at the rim is not defense. We’re risking major injury by rewarding it and teaching basketball that doesn’t translate to any other level. #Banthecharge #endRant

Proud of Zeke… big time competitor. Excited for what he brings to this group this year.

MAJOR props to Zeke Kelly (@EzekielKelly12) of @ACSLions_BB 🏀 While they didn’t get the win over Combine Academy, Kelly was one of the biggest reasons why the Lions cut Combine’s lead from 20 down to 4. An incredible competitor who never stops fighting #PhenomTipOff

RESPONDING TO MISTAKES "I'm letting the team down because I turned the ball over ... missed a shot ... blew a defensive assignment. No, you're letting the team down when it parlays into 4 or 5 possessions after that. Pick yourself up... You're playing a game that's imperfect."

Flow state Drake: How Maye found his groove as a high school hoops star

Drake Maye is balling for the Patriots this season, but as his high school basketball coach recalls, the QB was a star on the court as well.

My favorite comment in regards to the shot clock debate is people thinking that no shot clock = better shot quality. 🛑 There is no correlation with this assumption. The highest % FGA are in the first 8 seconds of a possession, across all competitive levels of play. Development is ONLY maximized WITH A SHOT CLOCK. This is simply because decisions under a time constraint create better decision makers.
