There are night games, and then there are night games in West Texas đ´ââ ď¸
Beauty of teaching the game and not the plays!

Cody is 100% right here. This really isn't a Texas Tech issue, per se. School A is fighting for Player B, as it absolutely should. This is a system broken beyond repair.
This plus can we quit being naive enough to think that there arenât kids on every single team betting in this current climate! The NCAA itself said it didnât affect the integrity of the game. That canât be everyoneâs argument and that be true. Which is it??
Yes! đ
Unpopular opinionâŚ
AAU doesnât need to lead to college basketball to be worth it.
For a lot of players today, itâs simply part of becoming competitive enough to play varsity basketball.
Not every player is chasing a Division I scholarship. Some are chasing a varsity roster spot. Some want to make the rotation. Some want to help their high school team win. Some just love the game.
And thatâs enough!
I think weâve become too obsessed with using college basketball as the scoreboard for whether a playerâs journey was worth it.
What if they never play another organized game after high school?
If they loved the practices⌠loved the tournaments⌠loved the road trips⌠loved the teammates⌠loved competingâŚ
Wasnât that valuable too?
Not every basketball journey has to end with a scholarship to be a success.
Sometimes success is simply getting better, building friendships, making memories, learning life lessons, and squeezing EVERY DROP out of a game you love.
If youâre playing on Court 1 or Court 37, play hard.
The love of the game doesnât care what division youâre headed to.

Why doesnât Sark just bring his 2âs and 3âs so he can save his 1âs for Ohio State?
CoachSCFrye retweeted
In response to Sark saying the 2s and 3s could go undefeated with [Texas Tech's] schedule, Joey McGuire just said he's called ACU's Keith Patterson and Texas State's GJ Kinney and they are willing to play in Week 1 so Texas and Texas Tech can play each other in 2026.
Joey said in Lubbock but working on AT&T Stadium if Texas didn't want to come to Lubbock.
