ALT After 42 league games, 3 cup games and 1 play-off semi-final for the Clapton CFC men’s first team season there’s one more game in the calendar. A season that started in July after promotion ended with the 3-2 play-off defeat away at Wormley Rovers at the end of April. Now the current players will take on a CCFC Legends team on Saturday, May 11 at 2pm at the Old Spotted Dog Ground. Some of the confirmed names for the Legends team so far include Eliot Crosbie, Jordan Odofin, Louis Rene, Liam Smyth, Andrew Lastic and Bogdan Panescu. Current players like Jimi Oshin and Dean Bouho who have been with the club from its foundation will be in the Legends team too. Geoff Ocran and Sham Darr will be managing the Legends with Ruudy, Jack Mellors and Matt Bailey managing the current team. The game is set to be very competitive – it won’t be a post-season kickabout. No tickets are needed and the Clubhouse bar will be open.
