Berrien Springs 2028 QB/S Braelin Hurst has ~1,600 total yards and 22 TDs (passing + running) already.
We interviewed him around this time last year and gave everyone the warning.
BR has shot up the D5 rankings this year.

Congrats @Coach_Fritz
🌟 Stu Fritz 🌟
For more than three decades, Stu Fritz served as the architect of one of NCAA Division III baseball's most consistent programs, leading @HopeCollegeBSB to sustained success over 31 seasons as head coach. Fritz retired in 2024 with a 674-500-3 (.574) career record, making him the winningest coach in program history while guiding the Flying Dutchmen to 10 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association championships — the second-most in conference history — and four NCAA Division III Tournament appearances. His teams won nearly two-thirds of their conference games, posting a 453-247 (.647) mark in MIAA play while establishing Hope as a perennial contender within the conference and the national NCAA Division III landscape. Fritz reached the 600-win milestone in 2021 and concluded his career having built one of the most successful eras in the history of Hope baseball.
Beyond his accomplishments on the field, Fritz has dedicated himself to serving both his institution and the coaching profession. He has provided leadership at the national level as President of the American Baseball Coaches Association in 2020 and chaired the NCAA Championships National Committee. His influence on the game has also been felt overseas through coaching experiences in Puerto Rico, Australia, and the Czech Republic. Following his retirement from coaching, Fritz has continued his service to Hope College as an athletics philanthropy liaison, extending a legacy defined by education, mentorship, and leadership.

I squatted 450 lbs as a sophomore.
I got 5 touches all season.
I asked EVERYONE what I needed to do to get more reps.
“Just get in the weight room”
That was the moment I realized NOBODY actually understands football training.
2024 Mr Michigan! ☘️
@michtrack where’s that put him on the alumni lists?

Guy never played a down of football. If this doesn’t show that height, weight, and explosiveness drive D1 recruiting, wake up. Doesn’t matter how many tackles or catches you have. Measurable’s are much more important than stats!!!

Running back AJ McBean of Mira Costa ran the 100 meters in 10.61 seconds last week. Suddenly, he was receiving communication from college recruiters. If you want to get recruited, run track. Legitimate track times offer immediate credibility far more than a 7 on 7 game.
Way to go Jake! #rockstrack
Jake Machiniak finishes seventh in the 200m! #GoBlue〽️
No one is more deserving! He has worked so hard and there is still more to come!
The record is his! Jake Machiniak sets a new program standard in the 200m and will advance to Saturday’s finals! #GoBlue〽️

HS🏈skill guys in T&F continue to work & be consistent with your local HS T&F Team because the famous question from College 🏈Coaches will be asked:
“What is your Time in 100 Meters”?!?!

🗣️T&F recruiting for HS athletes just got harder! 9th-11th grades just became more important.
“Roster spots are MORE valuable than the money we use to fund them” - multiple national championship winning T&F Director said to me last week.
Now the NCAA has removed the mid year transfer window (March). How does this impact a HS athlete?
1. All NCAA track athletes will enter in the same period (May/June). If they didn’t enter in the Dec window.
2. Now, coaches won’t know if they have spots freed up until late spring. So they are keeping HS athletes warm “just in case” a roster spot opens up. More HS athletes will be panicking in the spring because they are waiting. There will be LESS signings DURING the HS season.
3. Now, coaches have to ask themselves “with the limited roster spots I have, do I sign this developmental HS athlete DURING their senior season or wait to see what the portal looks like when it opens?”
4. This panic will also lead to more HS athletes (out of fear), signing with programs they really don’t want to. Now those roster spots are gone too… to athletes that don’t really want them, then struggle to buy in because they don’t want to be there and often times end up running poorly as a result. Now they feel forced to stay because they don’t have the times to feel confident in the portal. Now the coach is stuck with them too and ends up recruiting less HS athletes and waiting more on the portal because of the negative experience.
HS/Club/Private Coaches must understand and adapt to these evolving dynamics in how you train, prepare, and educate athletes.
Athletes, and parents of HS athletes, you MUST ensure you do what’s best for YOU! Don’t play around with YOUR future.
*This will not impact the HS US top 20 athletes. Most of them sign in the fall anyway because they had strong junior seasons.
