Today, we remember Special Warfare Operator 2nd Class (SEAL) Adam O. Smith, Lieutenant (SEAL) Brendan J. Looney, Senior Chief Cryptologic Technician Collections David B. McLendon, and Special Warfare Operator 3rd Class (SEAL) Denis C. Miranda, who were killed in action on September 21, 2010.

A little good morning, wisdom: “Lord help me keep my hands on the wheel and my eyes on the road, for I know you aren’t messing around. Help me to see the people and opportunities you put in my path.“

First day of the Boys Road Trip is in the books….
Big day at the HOF…..
Pulled out a journal from 2023 and felt led to share some thoughts from one of my mentors Rod Olson. @CoachRodOlson
He’s paying tribute to a lifetime leader and mentor of his.
HOW YOU AND I CAN LEAD AND LIVE WELL
Foundational Lessons I Learned from Doc (Mark) Reynen
1. Spend time on yourself first... and do it early in the day!
Every morning, Mark spent time feeding his heart, mind and soul by studying, reading and prayer. You must help yourself before you help others. "You can't help others well if you are a mess."
2. Be comfortable in your own skin!
Mark was authentic. He embraced who he was and who he was becoming. Elite leaders like who they are and don't try to be someone they aren't.
3. Be fully present at home and treat everyone like a VIP!
One of Mark's most important goals for himself was to be fully present when he was at home or spending time with his wife and kids. Mark also practiced this with his patients, he wasn't a man of distraction.
4. Have a great 'Bed-Side' Manner with people!
In a world where many doctors have horrible 'bed-side' manners, Mark was known for how caring he was when dealing with patients and people. A true man is known for an empathetic 'bed-side' manner by everyone.
5. A real leader does what they say they are going to do!
We live in an age where a person's word doesn't mean much anymore, however Mark was known as a man whose word was his bond...are you known as such a person?
6. Lives life to the fullest with an attitude of fun & adventure!
Elite leaders aren't grumpy and they don't complain. I truly cannot remember Mark complaining (with the exception of poor referees) about anything. Real leaders are problem solvers who have a victor mentality and see everything as an adventure! Is life an adventure or a grind to you?
7. Love the messiness of people!
Mark was a man after God's own heart. He adored his wife, cherished his kids and loved people...all kinds of people. If I learned one thing from Mark, it was how his strong faith drove his ability to love and help so many. He truly embraced the quirks and messy things that come with being a servant leader among people. Do you and I embrace the messy, irritating quirks of people?
Are we like Doc?

A little coaching wisdom for leaders this morning:
“The best coaches don’t accuse. They create discovery.” - Legacy Builder
This Memorial Day, remember to honor the brave souls who gave everything for our freedom & for the strength of the families of fallen heroes who have lost loved ones.
We must remind our children and ourselves that freedom isn’t free.

4/20 🤔’s from my friend @CoachRodOlson on our mentor Keli McGregor 🙏⬆️
16 years ago, we lost a remarkable leader whose wisdom continues to guide us today.
Keli McGregor's legacy lives on through the principles he exemplified as President of the Colorado Rockies.
You may not know that Keli led the Rockies organization to a World Series and to a top ranking of their business during his watch. The right leader makes a difference!
His lessons:
1. Take care of one thing at a time, one day at a time. Multi-tasking isn't the goal or optimal.
2. Have the courage to be patient when others take shortcuts.
3. Find your purpose by helping others discover their giftings, potential, and purpose.
