Max Scherzer just went 7 shutout innings allowing just 1 hit with 10Ks…at the age of 42.
And moved into 9th on the all time K list!
When he returned from the IL for a birthday start in Washington…many folks thought it was just a tip of the cap to the future Hall of Famer.
He was 1-4 with 10.23 ERA.
Now with the Jays back in the hunt… and banged up rotation Scherzer has a 3.60 ERA with 1.17 WHIP and Opp Avg of .200 in 7 starts off the IL. Heart of a champ.
On to Cleveland.

Elliot Lascelles doubled today also drew a walk after falling behind 0-2 in the count. Really liking what I’m seeing so far. Looks like he has an idea at the plate to go alongside the plus hit tool.
