Yup
Coaching the average MS/HS athlete how to properly squat 10 years ago was a lot easier than it is today. I will also throw skipping, hopping, push ups etc.. into the mix. Its wild how many MS/HS kids have Coordination, mobility restrictions. We live in an era with skill development being shoved into kids faces 24/7 all while BASIC Physical literacy baselines are not being met. Then we ask ourselves why injury rates are going up.

Inject this into my veins. “Burn the fucking boats!”
“Burn the fucking boats. There is no way out. We can’t go that way. You got to go through those mother fuckers.” We got Bob Chesney’s pregame speech before beating Oregon and it didn’t disappoint

Agree 💯

Kids make mistakes in high school games every Friday. Turning this one into content because his dad used to play for the Patriots is lowbrow.

If you are a HS basketball player watching the tournament and think just playing AAU and doing skill work for the next 5 months without touching a weight 2-3 x a week is going to prepare you for this level of physicality, good luck!

Crossfit is cool. Calisthenics is cool. Bodybuilding is cool. Martial arts is cool. As a fitness community, we need to come together and only hate on runners. Those people are weird.

Youth sports isn’t dying from lack of talent. It’s dying from overload. No free play, rest, recovery, off-seasons. Too many showcases & tournaments. Not enough development. Parent ego + social media pressure fuel the fire. We don’t need more exposure. We need better environments.

This. Love the game. Not the outcome.
Every young wrestler should hear this. Olympic champion Jordan Burroughs shares what he calls the “Arcade Perspective.”

Seattle Punter should be and is the MVP of this game.

The Patriots have won as many games since December 21st as the Titans have won since firing Mike Vrabel.

A new study came out claiming that 20% of parents think their child will be a division one athlete while 10% of parents think their child will be a professional athlete and/or be in the Olympics. To put that in context of numbers, that means of a graduating class of 500 athletes, 100 will be D1 athletes while 50 will be pros. That is not even remotely close to happening.

HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES. BE A MULTISPORT ATHLETE. BENEFITS BY FAR OUT WAY THE RISKS.
#Blackhawks prospect QB Mason West guides Edina to a state championship title to complete his high school football career. He said after the NHL Draft he wanted to play his senior year cause he felt like he owed it to his teammates. And he delivered.

"Drake Maye really impressed me by the way he played basketball.. He probably could have played basketball at North Carolina too.. I like it when players played multiple sports because to me that says something about them as a competitor" ~ Coach Saban #PMSLive

This.
Dear young athletes- keep this photo saved to your phone and show the next person who says you have to focus on one sport in HS. The amount of kids I’ve heard say “I can’t risk getting hurt” or “my coach won’t let me” drives me crazy. You get one shot to be a HS athlete. @YouthInc

This is hilarious
I agree. A new metropolis. A new center of culture and finance. You might even say…a new london

“The Youth Sports Industry Doesn’t Care About Your Kid” They’ll sell you “elite camps,” “combine prep,” and “exposure events” — for 10-year-olds. Because fear sells: fear of falling behind, fear of missing out. Real development is built through time, variety, and play.

Patriots are taking this throwback thing too seriously. The idea is to look like the old school patriots. Not play like them!!!!
