Love this
University of Houston coach Kelvin Sampson on Jamal Shead signing a new three-year $24 million extension with the Toronto Raptors a year early, just two seasons into his NBA career: "I told Toronto before the draft, I told all those guys, 'Look you can sit there and figure out what's wrong with every player.' That's what most cynical people do. Always figure out what's wrong, that's how they see things.
"But if you want to win and have a player that's dependable you can count on. . . Sometimes a player's greatest strength can be dependability. And that's what Jamal is. His attributes talent wise is No. 1 his strength. I mean, he is strong. His thighs and his butt. That's a powerful little dude. But his leadership, his basketball IQ, his fearlessness, his competitiveness. I hear a lot of people say he's not quite big enough.
"My response is always the same. You're always big enough if you're good enough. And Jamal is."

Young players, if you set a screen make contact on that screen. It drives coaches crazy when players whiff on screens and shows a lack of physicality. Hit somebody!

The teacher chose the shyest student in the class to draw a piece of paper, and if it was blank, the whole class would get a free lesson to play.
But all the papers were blank, and she did this to help him socialize and alleviate his shyness.

HISTORY'S GREATEST MINDS WERE ACTUALLY HOT MESSES
Steve Jobs chose carrot juice over cancer treatment. Newton spent 30 years on alchemy.
Mozart begged for money while drowning in debt. King had 40 affairs.
Nietzsche caught syphilis in a brothel.
The pattern is devastating: humanity's greatest achievements emerged from people making choices so terrible, we hide them from history books.
This isn't about flawed heroes.
It's about the fundamental illusion of competence.
Jobs revolutionized human communication while failing basic self-preservation.
Newton unlocked the universe's mechanics while pursuing medieval magic.
The same mind. The same person. Simultaneously.
We tell ourselves that somewhere, adults exist.
People who've figured it out. Who make rational choices.
Who know what they're doing.
But the evidence suggests something darker and more beautiful: genius and stupidity aren't opposites.
They're roommates.
Maybe achievement isn't despite our flaws but because of the same chaotic humanity that produces them.
