Jack Endries with the strong debut. Tight End continues to be one of the more interesting roster battles. I am finding a way to keep Endries in any scenario.

Backtracking: a coach says my info re the Bench is totally wrong. I just replied that:
The strongest coach in the NFL, Scott Peter’s who I saw Bench Press 560 or so when I coached him at the NYG and is a world champion in Jujitsu doesn’t believe in the Bench.

Marvin Lewis knows Cincinnati better than most.
He says the Bengals’ trade for Dexter Lawrence was “huge” because it gives that defense the kind of presence and leadership it has been missing.

2. Erick All learned on Saturday that he was medically cleared for the start of camp following multiple knee surgeries.
“I had to leave the training room,” said All. “I got teary-eyed for a bit.
“That was a big moment for me. (The tears) kind of caught me by surprise. I was chomping at the bit and once you hear those words it kind of got me a little bit.”

Bengals edge Shemar Stewart, who was carted off yesterday after a scary looking knee injury, suffered just a hyperextended knee and will have treatment, per @RapSheet and me.
The belief is no ligament damage for Stewart. “He’s good,” one source said.

Breaking: Eagles are signing two-time Pro-Bowl selection Jalen Carter to a four-year, $152 million extension worth up to $160 million, including $106 million guaranteed that now makes him the highest-paid defensive tackle in NFL history, per his agents Drew and Jason Rosenhaus.
Carter now will be under contract to the Eagles through the 2031 season.

Connor Lew appears ready to go for training camp. The fact he is still 20 years old is kind of crazy. Huge upside.

Congratulations to these 2 legends who gave their all to @Bengals. I still wanna use this time to say to our Bengals owners “ Please reconsider next year’s plan of only putting 1 player per year in the Ring of honor! So many men are deserving and we want them to be here to receive this great honor you have created for former guys! Let’s start a petition to the organization! Send this message to ownership please if you know them! They’re doing a great job with this but we need more than 1. #Whodey

The Satellite Express Offense came from Archie "Gunslinger" Cooley.
I used to say, "They need to make a 30 for 30 about The 1984 Satellite Express, @JerryRice & Willie Totten."
But, they never did.
If anyone wants to join me in producing this documentary... @SethHoward_ is ready to film it.

The 2025 Bengals OL ranked
16th in Pass Block Efficiency (PFF)
And if you use the final 11 weeks, they were 4th best in PBE.
They were 27th in weeks 1-7 with a new OL coach and two rookies playing.
They were charged with 7 sacks in those final 11 weeks. That was 4th best.
That's for the PASS HEAVIEST team in the LEAGUE.
They were 25th in Rushing Success Rate in those first 7 weeks also.
They were 3rd in Rushing Success Rate in the final 11 weeks.
Looks at the splits in PFF grades!
But sure, use 2025 data without using your eyes and seeing the improvements on tape.
They WILLINGLY brought back all 5 starters for a reason.

4. Second year linebackers Barrett Carter and Demetrius Knight are noticeably more vocal this year.
“Unequivocally,” said Al Golden.
“We threw them in the deep end. They fought, they battled, and somehow made their way home. I think the Cincinnati Bengals are going to be the benefactor and it’s certainly playing out that way this spring.”
