Notre Dame has played 18 ranked opponents in the regular season since the start of 2022 (the Freeman era). That's more than Georgia (17), Ohio State (15), Miami (10), Indiana (10), BYU (10), Texas Tech (14), etc. Comparable with Alabama (21), Texas (20), etc.

I did not expect to go down a Notre Dame schedule rabbit hole yesterday, but a friend who is a ND supporter had reached out wondering what ND SOS might be since Marcus Freeman took over. I couldn't generate that for them, but I did dig this up for them...

One of the few HS players I’ve been around to play all 9 positions at some point in his 4 years. Lost less than 10 games, including a perfect 30-0 season, 3 CCL titles, and state 🏆. Great player that will make your program and his teammates better!! Kid just wins!!

When it comes to promoting his players. I would ask for 2 or 3 to interview for my magazine and he would always send 12 to 15. No doubt one of the top coaches in the Midwest. Right now I would not recommend Providence Catholic to any football recruit. Sad situation for the current players.

The big shocker in Chicago area football is the firing of Tyler Plantz at Providence Catholic in New Lenox. He was 4 and 0 ranked number one in class 5A. I have been involved with Chicago area Football for 50 years and I could honestly say that Tyler did the best job in the area
