I’d say 99% of people that say “just go JUCO and transfer up”..
Genuinely are ignorant to the inner workings of college athletics.

Attention parents of Derby boys basketball players in grades 3rd — 8th! 🚨🏀
The fall session of Panther Basketball Academy is less than 1 month away. This is where many of my DHS Varsity players developed and learned our system at a young age!

Kevin Willard admits he isn't recruiting any high school players this year 👀
"We're not recruiting a high school kid this year... just because of the fifth-year rule. We have six guys that can come back for a fifth year. So, I'd much rather have one of my players come back, than bring in a high school kid"

With our schedule we all have to embrace hard. The staff, the players and the fans. There are some tough days coming, but my dad told me tough times make tough people, tough people make tough teams, and tough teams win championships.

Today the offers started pouring in for senior PG Avant Riley. Just wait until all coaches see the new & improved version of him fully on display this winter — quicker, faster, in great shape, & driven to prove he’s the best.
(Avant not tagged thanks to our new state law).

Coaches — @GregoryStiger10 played at a VERY high level this weekend against 4 excellent out of state teams (Omaha Westview NB, Millard South NB, Logan Rogersville MO, Marquette MO). Absolutely a top 2028 guard in the state. Catch him with @KCRunGMC this July!

Joe Stasyszyn on the “price of being nice”
He says there is a difference between being a nice coach and a good coach and a good coach doesn’t want to be the players’ friend

College Coaches:
If you need any information or have any questions about any of our Derby High players playing at the live period games in Cincinnati, Tulsa, or KC this weekend, do not hesitate to reach out. We ask them to be the hardest playing dudes on their respective teams!

I’m beyond thankful and blessed to announce my commitment to McPherson College to continue my academic and basketball career. None of this would be possible without my family, coaches, teammates, and everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. #gobulldogs #agtg
