Texas 2 Trap Pressure Cutup vs Tennessee: Spurs 1st Clip (0:00): Slip Spurs 2 Steal. Slip call sets the front to the field and then stems it to a Mint Front. 2nd Clip (0:34): Creates an under front post snap. FS is able to fit off his coverage, 4i isn't able to cross face into the A gap, but because Biles cheeks (dents/boxes) the puller, the surface is minimized. 3rd Clip (1:00): vs FIB, the Free Safety cuts 2 to the boundary instead of 2 to the field.

Saturday was another reminder of how tough the MIAA is week to week. UCO beat Northwest, MoWest knocked off Hays, and Emporia and Central Missouri are the only teams still unbeaten in conference play. Who takes control from here? #D2FB

Plenty of people have expressed their opinions on this, but what do actual college decision-makers think? Here are 3 quotes from current general managers in college football.  P4 GM: "Exposure has never been easier.  College summer camps, summer combines/camps, increased unofficial visits, larger game day visits, easy access to putting your film online (HUDL).  Most kids that aren’t being recruited by the schools they want to be isn’t a visibility issue; it’s a talent issue.  High School families don’t need to be paying to get evaluated.  They should start with their HS coaches and find out how to become a better football player."  P4 GM: "They’re just trying to make money on the dreams of the players who wouldn’t get recruited anyway. Are there now more spots for FBS teams to take players? No. They’ll just rank more players who paid for it, but the opportunities don’t expand. The number of scholarships given out by programs remains the same. Excited for the meltdown because On3 is a market driver for NIL and this opens the door for families to pay them to rank them higher for more NIL."  G5 GM: "To me, it's all stupid. Anybody who's paying for these rankings or evaluations is already in the wrong. The priority should just be to be a really good high school football player, and you're going to be recruited, and you're going to get ranked.
"Are these parents even going to listen when they get a rating back that says they're an FCS-level player? Probably not. They'll probably just spend more money trying to change what they are. They'll keep spending money on things until they get the answer they want to hear, but the film isn't going to change from Friday nights."
Rivals is charging high school athletes and parents $499 for an 'evaluation' by a Rivals scout. The fee includes a scouting report, grade, film evaluation, coach interview, and consideration to be ranked on their site.

Can we protect college sports from this?
1.04M kids played HS football last season. About 6,600 held a Rivals star rating… roughly 0.6%. That's not a talent gap. It's a capacity gap. Our scouts have always focused on FBS prospects, and FCS, D-II, NAIA and D-III kids rarely get their film watched. Rivals Recruits puts the same scouts, held to the same standards, on more of that film. You can pay for an evaluation. You can't pay for the result. Great resource and link for all college coaches and scouts. More opportunities for athletes. on3.com/rivals/rankings/rada…

This is unreal and slimy...parents and kids dont fall for this foolishness Theres a lot of talented writers and evaluators that work at rivals This undermines their credibility IMO #txhsfb

DeSean Jackson rejects football’s the live in the office coaching culture “I spent 15 years playing in the league. The last thing I want to do is go have a long schedule, 8 in the morning till 10 at night, because we know the coaches we played for, they was in there all day.” “I be in there probably like 6:30 in the morning, and I honestly be out by like two. But I tell my coaches, ‘Just because you there all day don’t mean nothing.’ You can still get out-schemed. You can still get out-worked.” “So I’m not one of those coaches that be like, ‘We got to be there 8 in the morning, 6 in the morning and 10 at night.’ Get in. Get your work done. When you done, man, you get up out of there. I feel like you can get your work done and get home to your family, because I’m not going to be in there all day.” “After a while, you just running up into a brick wall. You going to be miserable, frustrated, cussing out players, cussing out coaches. Nah, bro. I got to go reset.”

The job of a coach. “My job is to always be opposite at the moment.” Calm when chaos comes. Confident when doubt creeps in. Demanding when standards slip. Encouraging when confidence drops. Patient when frustration grows. Give your team what the moment needs.
This is so freaking good Never heard it put like this “My job is to be opposite the moment”

The Northwest Missouri State University track and field teams finished day three of the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in a dominant fashion, secured the highest finishes for the Bearcat men’s and women’s programs and Melanie Roland captured the women’s 400-meter national title. The Northwest women scored 35 points to place sixth, setting a new program-best finish by topping their 11th-place showing in 2024. The Bearcat men tallied 38 points to also secure sixth overall, surpassing their previous highest finish of seventh set in 2005. It marks the third top-10 national finish for the Bearcat men and the first-ever top-10 finish for the Northwest women at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The Bearcats totaled 27 All-America honors during the three-day meet. Three relay squads and 11 individual performances secured first-team status, while three individuals earned second-team recognition. Melanie Roland secured a commanding victory in the women’s 400-meter dash, becoming the third Bearcat women’s outdoor champion, joining Hiba Mahgoub (200m, 2021) and Tiffany Hughey (400m, 2024). In the men’s 400-meter dash, Truman Hare turned in a standout performance, capturing a top-five finish for the Bearcats and lowering his own school record. Finding similar success, Aziz Mohammed and the women’s 4x400-meter relay team delivered a pair of runner-up finishes to secure crucial team points. Kennedi Cline delivered an impressive outing by becoming the third Bearcat female athlete to earn three All-America honors in an NCAA Outdoor Championship meet, joining Luisarys Toledo (2023, 2024) and Tiffany Hughey (2023). Seven Bearcat athletes reached multi-All-America status at the meet, including four from the men's squad and three from the women's team. bit.ly/4dtOd9j @NWBearcatXCTF #OABAAB
