Dixieland Delight was written by Ronnie Rogers in 1982. The inspiration for the song reportedly came while Rogers was driving down Highway 11W in Rutledge, Tennessee, a small town about 30 miles outside of Knoxville. The premise of the song is that he and his lady friend, who I presume was wild as a mink and sweet as soda pop, were cruising down Highway 11W on a perfect Saturday night in East Tennessee. A Saturday night that I can only assume was spent celebrating Tennessee’s 35-28 victory over the No. 2-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in 1982. In conclusion, Alabama fans have turned a song inspired by a Tennessee Saturday night with a Vols win over Bama, into one of their most beloved football traditions. You’re welcome, Tuscaloosa. Go Vols! 🍊🍊 #AlabamaHateWeek

🔥This is the full Dixieland Delight that was played in Neyland after Tennessee beat Alabama 🔥 The Skycam feed had the stadium audio connected, so Dixieland Delight came in crystal clear as it was played for fans. It was slightly out of sync but I think I fixed it.

95% of the issues in high school sports come down to one thing: Parents believe their kid should be playing over someone else’s kid. You can agree or disagree that is the truth.

The Delaware Wing-T is not a formation. It is not simply buck sweep or sally or belly. It is a complete SYSTEM. It is a high octane, in your face, make defenders question their life choices, sniper precision, waltz of warfare… and we LOVE IT. Great question here.
How do you get parents cheering for the program, not just their kid?

As a long time Wing-T guy, obviously I love seeing a little wing t action in Saturdays. But what I’m wondering is WHY. Why do you guys think Chip Kelly took the time to install some wing-t stuff?

#WisdomWednesday When recording football tackles, the options on any play are: - 1 Solo Tackle - 2 Assisted Tackles Per NFHS Stats Manual, very rarely should more than two assisted tackles be given on any play. NEVER a solo and assist(s). #wisfb

Some HS defenses are making 100 tackles a game in Maxpreps.
