The butter on your movie theater popcorn isn't butter. At most theaters the pump is filled with buttery topping, which is soybean oil, artificial butter flavor and beta carotene, the same pigment that makes carrots orange.
It can't be sold as butter. Federal law has defined butter since 1923. It has to be made from milk or cream, with nothing added but salt and color, and be at least 80% milkfat. That's why the jug the theater buys says buttery topping or butter flavored topping. Some brands also add TBHQ and citric acid to keep the oil from going rancid, and FDA caps TBHQ at 0.02% of the oil.
At a lot of theaters the popcorn is yellow before the topping ever touches it. Gold Medal's Flavacol popcorn salt goes in the kettle, and its ingredient list is salt, artificial flavor, Yellow 5 Lake and Yellow 6 Lake.
Some theaters do use real butter. Odell's sells theaters a real butter topping with the water and milk solids taken out, so it can ship without refrigeration.

we, as a society, have fallen out of love with the process. everyone wants the reward, but nobody wants to bleed for it. you have to become addicted to the daily, unglamorous work of stacking bricks. you cannot bypass the ungodly toll it takes to become undeniable. fall in love with the relentless pursuit.

Major cheat code for life: Every pattern in your life repeats until you learn the lesson. The moment you choose differently, the loop ends and growth begins.
Go where you are celebrated not tolerated!
Reese Poffenbarger is one of the unluckiest QB’s in NCAA history.
Threw for 6,613 yards & 60 TD’s in 2 seasons at UAlbany.
Transferred to Miami to be QB1, Cam Ward withdrew from NFLD, transferred became starter.
Transferred to North Texas, 0 star Drew Mestemaker won the job, and then led the nation in passing yards…
Transferred to Akron, now it appears he is out of eligibility and will have transferred to 3 schools in 3 years & attempted 14 passes. Beyond brutal.

No matter what you do, you will be criticized for it. So the only question that matters is, “What is worth being criticized for?”
Then do that.

I’m a firm believer it takes a village to get these young men to the next level. The best situations are when HS coaches, travel coaches, and trainers all collaborate with one goal: what’s best for the player & their family. Put egos aside. The kid wins.
Man high school players really need to make sure y’all bodies are ready for college! With the shift of colleges recruiting GROWN MEN, the quickest way to get noticed as a high schooler is having a college ready BODY!

" I didn’t really score that much in high school because of how good our team was. But AAU, I was like the main guy that would score the ball all the time. So, I think having those two different things really helped me work on my game in both ways."
-Keaton Wagler
🆕 @TheAthletic
Before Keaton Wagler's summer league began, we sat down and discussed a few things, including his place in a talented guard draft class. We followed up after his breakout performance Sunday.
But I learned the most in between about why confidence in Wagler isn't coming from just the LA Clippers and Wagler himself.
