Alabama was absolutely shafted. About as bad as the 2018 Saints Playoff game.
Coaches should get 1 Blue challenge flag to challenge a no-call where they saw the penalty and the officials didn’t.

Rural sports, post who you picked though?
🚨 UNBELIEVABLE FINISH IN GRANTSVILLE! 🚨
LOGAN WINS 37-36! 🏈🔥
Trailing 36-35 with just 1:05 remaining, Logan pulled off an incredible comeback!
A snap sailed over the Grantsville punter’s head and into the end zone for a GAME-CHANGING SAFETY, giving Logan a 37-36 lead!
One of the wildest finishes of the 2026 Utah high school football season! 🤯

5 of the top 10 National Passing Yards Leaders according to MaxPreps are out of Utah… y’all really don’t understand the quality of football that exists in this state at all levels…

I’ve seen at least 5 articles this season about how football is failing in my home state of NY. Many schools are required to Co-Op or are just shutting down their programs entirely, some who’ve had football for 100+ years.
After coaching football for some time in Utah now, I can tell you, the main problem isn’t parents worrying about their children getting hurt.
The chief contributor to football miserably failing in NY is parents as a general whole, not wanting their sweet little baby angels to play a sport that demands the qualities of good, strong, accountable men.
Strong, accountable, good men require the ability to be tough, mentally and emotionally. They’re required to be capable of aggression and violence in protection of what’s innocent, good and just. Strong, accountable, good men are required to be able to work gruelingly hard to accomplish a goal.
But NY parents don’t want that for their sweet little sugar muffin.

Stay in coaching long enough and you realize X’s and O’s are the easy part. Communication, culture, adaptability, and seeing things as they are matter more than scheme ever will. Scheme doesn’t always win Friday. Sometimes the other stuff has to.
I am grateful for the coaches I had growing up. They were good men who did well to try to make sure I was set up for success as an adult.
But, there are things that I would change about the way and what they coached.
Nowhere on that list however, is that I wish they were easier on me.
Nowhere on that list is wishing they were more understanding.
Nowhere on that list is wishing they let me play when I didn’t deserve it.
First on that list is wishing they held me to a higher standard than what they did.
I’m not shaking any coach’s hand who lines up on the other side from me as players. It makes me miss the hand shake with some of y’all’s players and shows crazy impatience on your part. Also, shaking hands with left hand is just weird.
This like 435 on my “what matters most right now” list, so obviously I made it #1 this morning.

Several Logan High players on the statewide stat leaderboards through 6 weeks, per Utah Sports Today on Instagram via MaxPreps:
@graydenolsen — 10 sacks (2nd)
@ethdawgg — 5 INTs (T-1st)
@EastonFavero — 1,832 pass yds (6th)
@jaseping10 — 649 rec yds (7th)
Season over halfway done already. Major growth, learning and development from top to bottom has made this the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. Blessed to be a Grizzly and for sure nobody has it better.

Apology after apology after apology resulting in ZERO change.
One of the following needs to happen if you TRULY want to see change.
- NCAA commits to kicking out every student section who commits this act with a zero tolerance and guilty by association mindset. You stop the game and escort every student out. I give it three games of doing this before it stops all together.
- Social media stops covering it. Athletic directors stop penning empty apologies and we just move on like it’s normal trash talk, because if the above doesn’t work, nothing will. So we need to just get over it.
