19 years ago, @CoachTomMoore hired me to join his first coaching staff at Quinnipiac University. I was 21 years old with virtually no coaching experience, but he gifted me an opportunity that I am forever grateful for. From that day in 2007 until today, he’s been a constant supporter and a true friend. Thanks, TMoore. I owe you. Enjoy that great family, and the boat, and the multiple homes. Can’t wait to see your act on TV soon.

Are you looking for a unique way to end your team/staff meetings on a high note? A way to conclude that will increase cohesion and camaraderie? Try an exercise called You, Me, We. INSTRUCTIONS: Select a member of your team to acknowledge something that a teammate did well (the You), something that they themselves did well (the Me), and something that the team as a whole did well (the We). They need to be as specific as possible when acknowledging the person and the behavior. Remember, that which gets praised... gets repeated!

I sat behind Chris Paul and watched him coach his son’s high school team. One of my friends always uses the appeal to authority fallacy to argue that professional coaches and players know far more than coaches like me. I listened to everything Chris Paul said during the game. It’s the same stuff. Sports are simple. No, I’m not saying Chris Paul doesn’t know more than me about basketball. But sports aren’t complicated. The real job is managing people and personalities.
