Marshawn Lynch says every athlete needs to protect the “holy three” if they want to be successful after sports: their body, their body, and their money
“First off, shout out to Chris Johnson. I mean, like, you already know, this is easy money. I call, ‘Hey Dre, who your person is? You got somebody to do the blood work, this, that and the third?’”
“I was not taking care of my body. I live a different type of lifestyle where I smoke, I drink, I be outside and all that kind of stuff. But it was more so like, all right, I’m not going and running every day the way I was.”
“So I make it a point that I take care of myself. Going to go get blood work, going to go see what’s going on internally with myself. Going to go do these scans and all of that, taking the necessary steps in order to be proactive in my health.”
“That was a part of what I didn’t know was taking care of my mental and my body at the same time. But then being able to find time to actually get down, bust down, and get some movement in.”
“If you do have some things that’s off or not working right, being proactive to go get that out, going to make sure that your body is functioning at the right time. Because we getting older. Usually wake up and just go attack the day, now I get up, got to stretch a little bit more.”
“But then also taking care of your chicken. Making sure you got the right financial team around you. Asking the dumb questions that you think is dumb, you have to ask them in order to educate yourself.”
“My first question to my financial advisor was, ‘How do you spend money?’ It sounds so simple, but no, there’s a way that you spend money. But you have to ask them kind of questions in order to know what is the right question, what’s the wrong question, and how do you prepare yourself for when you don’t got them constant checks coming in week in and week out.”
“When you start talking about your mental, we see a lot of guys committing suicide. The effects of the way of the world, it starts to hone in on them. When it’s gravy, you don’t think about it.”
“I think that’s the holy three when you think about it, in terms of what an athlete needs to do. I think that covered everything in which to be successful, not successful as an athlete, but successful as a person.”
“Because we trying to live a long time. Trying to last, not come in last, and then have a quality of life too. Living is one thing, but then trying to have a quality of life where I can think, I can function, I can enjoy my family, I can enjoy the money I made, I can enjoy the fruits of my labor.”

POWERFUL: #NFL star Terry McLaurin delivered a powerful message about trusting God’s timing.
“Those ‘not yet’ are times to continue to grow and continue to lean into the Lord.”
“Sometimes if we get what we want earlier, or before we’re ready for it… we’ll fumble it away.”
“Delay is not denial.”

Former FDA Commissioner David Kessler:
“Over the last 40 years, the US has been exposed to something that our biology was never intended to handle: Energy dense, highly palatable, rapidly absorbable 𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 that have altered our metabolism and resulted in the greatest increase in chronic disease in our history.”
The food industry is poisoning us for profit and causing a massive spike in diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, and heart failure.
They add chemicals, preservatives, and artificial colorings to our food in order to cut costs because under our capitalist system their sole priority is profit, not the people’s nutritional health.
But why would our government allow the food industry to poison us? Because our government and both parties are bought off by the corporations making our food.
This is the core problem with allowing capital to control the government. Every law, every budget, and every decision made prioritizes corporate profits over the health, safety and well-being of the people.
Nothing changes the game like the first day in pads. Yesterday was a good start — now it’s time to stack days.
