ADVICE MY DAD GAVE ME AS A KID THAT STILL GUIDES ME TODAY 1. Always keep some cash in your pocket. 2. Never let your fuel tank get too low. 3. Work hard, but never put work above family. 4. Use your vacation days. You've earned them. 5. Show up for people if you want them to show up for you. 6. Never forget to say thank you. 7. Leave places better than you found them. 8. Put the cart back. Pick up trash, even when it's not yours. 9. Don't brag about your income. 10. Do good things when nobody is watching. 11. It's okay to want nice things, but take responsibility for earning them. 12. Never forget what makes you valuable and different. 13. Stay committed to the things you start. 14. Do what you say you're going to do. 15. Live with integrity, always.

Spectacular post right there. Next level analytics and great explanation of why Execution > Big ballin’
High hang time punts and kick offs (4.0+ ideally) are just as effective if not more than touchbacks drilled through the end zone or long driving punts. 1. High hang times make returners nervous 2. Many returners don’t have experience fielding high hang kicks/punts bc most HS specs not capable of it or default to driving long balls 3. It gives your coverage units another 1/4 to 1/2 second to get downfield All that summed up = you’re more likely to create chances for fumbles, fair catches (as good as a touchback) or great field position w higher hangs.

Simply put, one of the best posts for kickers I have ever seen. Absolutely golden words of wisdom here.
Every kick has a life of its own. On windy days, it’s critical to pick your line with confidence and then fully commit to that kick. If you want to become a high level kicker, it’s about much more than physical ability. Are you focused enough to choose the correct line on every kick? Are you disciplined enough to commit to it without hesitation? Then, do you have the body control and consistency to produce the same ball flight over and over again? Great kickers don’t just react to the conditions. They understand them, trust their plan, and execute with confidence. #Kicking #Football #Specialists #BeAPro #TLK

Choices shape the quality of your life. Every day, you are choosing something: discipline or delay, growth or comfort, focus or distraction. The life you build is the sum of the choices you repeat. The challenge is that the best choices are not always the easiest ones. Sometimes the right decision feels inconvenient, uncomfortable, and costly. But the cost of a poor choice is always greater in the long run. Great people do not just have big dreams; they make hard decisions. They choose to do what is necessary, even when it is not exciting. They choose consistency when others choose excuses. That is why choices matter. Your future is being shaped by what you choose today.

Missing kicks is part of the game. But how you miss matters. Did the ball barely slide outside the upright? Or was it a complete shank left? Because there’s a difference. One is a confident miss and one is usually a breakdown somewhere in the process. A confident miss tells you you’re close. The quicker you can coach yourself after the miss, the higher level of ball you’ll be able to play. Does it take you five kicks to make the adjustment, or can you fix it after one? The best specialists aren’t perfect. They just make corrections faster than everybody else. They understand what happened, trust their training, and move on without letting one miss turn into three. A lot of athletes panic after a miss and start changing everything. That’s where things snowball. High level guys can separate emotion from correction. Small adjustment. Full commitment. Next ball. That’s a huge part of becoming consistent. #TLK #BeAPro #StackDays #KickingCoach #TrustTheProcess

What does a coach look for in a Specialist? Here is a checklist from one of the top D1 ST coaches in America.

A bad coach tears people down. An average coach focuses only on results. A good coach teaches skills and systems. A great coach builds confidence and trust. An exceptional coach helps people believe in themselves at a higher level. And the best coaches impact lives long after the scoreboard stops mattering.
