I'm planting my flag atop this hill and I'm not budging.
The 24-team College Football Playoff is awesome!
And I'm here to stand in opposition to decades of gaslighting leading fans to believe an acutal playoff would ruin the "sacred" regular season when the exact opposite is true.
College football games are awesome because we love college football, not because of the playoff implications. Army-Navy hasn't been nationally relevant since black and white TV, but we watch because we love it!
Now, we will get better games with more of them carrying actual postseason weight. And instead of relying on a group of self-important nerds in a hotel ballroom debating defensive efficiency metrics to tell us who is worthy of entry, we will have actual games on the field to determine outcomes.
They told you the BCS would ruin college football.
They told you a four-team CFP would do the same.
Rinse and repeat with 12. Now 24.
We all still love college football just as much as we did when they told you how awesome it was to win the Car Quest Bowl.
I know roughly 1% of you will agree with this, but overcoming decades of brainwashing is difficult.
This is a great thing for our sport.
They keep talking about the death of bowl games due to a 24-team playoff as if players haven't been opting out of these bowl games for years now.

SEC and other college football fans who oppose a 24-team playoff usually say this:
“Regular season games won’t matter anymore if 9-3 teams get in!”
Well, fellas, welcome to the present reality of Big 12 fans!
Our regular season games “don’t matter” today after one loss under the current, corrupt pro-SEC system. Last year BYU went 11-1 in the regular season with their only loss at Top 10 Texas Tech.
BYU had zero support from the CFP and ESPN after that one loss. Their only hope was to then win the conference championship and they lost again to Tech.
The Big 12 is 0-for-14 securing at-large bids in the 12-team CFP format. The only game, therefore, that “matters” in the Big 12 is the conference championship game.
That’s absurd.
The Top 12 spots are blatantly gate-kept for SEC teams and top-end Big Ten teams. This starts with preseason rankings giving SEC teams “ranked wins” early against teams that end up going 7-5. Then ESPN conjures comically biased metrics to further benefit SEC teams.
If you want regular season games to “matter more” in college football on the whole, expand to 24-teams.
Remember, those who most ardently support corrupt systems (like the current 12-team CFP), are the ones who benefit most from the corruption.
Watching the meltdown over the upcoming 24-team playoff is comical. People cried about the BCS, then the 4-team playoff, and then the 12-team playoff. It’s happening and you're still going to show up every Saturday to watch and hope your team makes the playoffs.
SEC teams get blown out; SEC teams stay ranked. ESPN hypes them, AP voters follow, and the “never a week off” narrative writes itself. The uproar might get us a 24-team playoff, which is what coaches wanted all along.

Now seems like a good time to remind you that Lane Kiffin has over a decade of head coaching experience at three separate power schools and has never coached in a conference championship game, a BCS game, or a playoff game - let alone won one

LSU ranked 11 for no reason to start the season.
Ole Miss beats LSU and climbs to 4.
Florida beats Ole Miss and climbs (13 spots!) to 8.
Florida gets boat raced by Mizzou and South Carolina.
Maybe we should stop assuming mid SEC teams are elite when they beat each other?
Down goes #10 LSU. How far do they drop? I think 4 spots, ya know, SEC bias in the polls. I can hear it now "There is never a week off in the SEC" smh

STOP SAYING ARCH MANNING IS A 1st ROUND PICK! We haven’t seen anything close to that from him !
#MITB The booking tonight is trash. I shouldn't be surprised, but it is.
